Went in to get fitted for contacts. Was given 3.00 prescription. He only had 1 3.0 and 1 3.25 for the trial. When I wore them, I made the comment that I was finding it hard to see, there's too much detail and I felt lopsided. He had the nerve to tell me that I can't notice the difference between the 3.0 and 3.25 as it was only a fraction different, that there was really no difference and that I needed to get used to them. He dismissed my comment. I believed him -because he's the optometrist- and I tried wearing them to work but I got migraines from them, struggled to see and had eye fatigue. I ordered by myself mind you 2.75 and I feel 100% better. I don't mind being told to give them a go and if they're issues to come back, but it was specifically the way he made me feel that I was wrong for mentioning that they felt too strong and how he dismissed me. Maybe he was having a bad day? I don't know. Otherwise, my interactions for the rest of the time were fine. The rest of the team are really good and kind at Wendouree.
I found the perfect glasses and the staff were fantastic: from the greeting at the door, to the eye test and the fitting of the glasses everyone was helpful and professional.
Had the absolute best experience yesterday when getting my eyes tested and subsequently needing both long distant and reading glasses for the first time. All the staff were so very friendly and welcoming even though I found out just before leaving that they were 4 staff short for the day. I would especially like to mention Tam who was my optometrist who explained things so thoroughly so I could understand and was kind and gentle given my fear around eyes. Also a very special mention to Alison who went above and beyond in helping me choose my glasses, she is a kind sweet soul who I felt I could easily trust. Thankyou all so much, you made what I thought was going to be a horrible experience into a happy and most enjoyable one
I never had a wonderful experience with Specsavers. I alway found their staff to be bit blunt and rude. Today, I was 9 min late for my appointment, and staff refused me the appointment. I told her I waited 1 month to get this appointment. I must attend this appointment. The staff absolutely lacked empathy and just bluntly refused my request stating cut off time is 10 min. Even optometrist refused my request. Obviously, I didn't like their attitude as I have been with Specsavers for last 5 years.
Extremely rude staff, my 4 year old was very scared about going to get eye drops so she can have her eyes checked. Did not make her feel comfortable at all, told us to pin her to the floor so they could put eye drops in.. was very rude to my wife when she refused, Customer service was shocking and no care factor towards children who are unsure about the process. We ended up leaving and going to the bacchus marsh branch. Who were wonderful..
I go there for both glasses and hearing aids. The staff there are amazing. I recently required hearing aids, and they fitted them perfectly. They have made such a difference to me. I could not recommend them more highly.
Poor customer service. After waiting 15 days for my 2 pair of glasses they had ordered the wrong frame for my sunglasses. Couldn't find the frames I had originally chosen, so I was left looking for another frame to choose. No apologies for the mix up! Wanted to reorder with them and have lenses changed to a more suitable preference but staff insisted I get used to what they gave me and try them out. Not happy, I declined that offer to put up with the glasses. They then refused to refund as manager was not in Sunday and no-one authorised to refund. I offered to leave glasses with them and asked them to refund during the week via direct transfer, the situation got uncomfortable, they still wanted me to come back on a week day to do refund. So l asked if they can call the manager, which they did and he authorised the refund. My experience says a lot about the way they treat customers. :
Went there this morning I know its lockdown 4 staff doing nothing,no customers there. Was approached by a male and I asked him if he could tighten the arms on my glasses I have purchased 4x pairs of glasses and sunglasses for my partner and myself in last 12 months from here as they keep falling off. Was rudely told NO were in lockdown doing emergencies only!!! WOW Yep won't see me again
I recently bought a pair of glasses and one of the screws holding in the lens fell out and so did the lens. This left a scratch in the lens. On taking the glasses back this morning 26/08/20 I was met by a very rude girl at the front of the store who said that lenses are not covered by warranty but they would replace the screw that caused the problem. If all you can get is rudeness and no option to rectify the problem I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Ok, I wondered no review yet so I'll take the first! :- Great helpful staff/team crew for a first time visit and general eye check-up in Australia! Great modern technology! Thank God, my eyes are still working fine and dandy! Leaving my review here to remind myself; I'm required to re-visit in another 2 years time. Thank you for the hospitable experience! Keep it up!
