Be careful when selecting frames and lenses for your glasses from this store. Sharing the experience and feedback here. Selected the frame and lenses with the assistance and advice from the staff. When picking up the glasses, immediately experienced distortion and dizziness when putting on the new glasses even though there was no change to the prescription. Although I expressed concerns and dissatisfaction of the glasses, the staff still asked me to to take the glasses advising that I need to keep wearing the glasses for longer time. Tried putting on the glasses once after taking the glasses home, however the dizziness and distortion made me give up. When returned the glasses back to the store, a different staff advised that it was the combined frame and lenses issue that resulted in the distortion. The staff helped me selecting another frame that she believes would resolve the problem and advised that it will be free of charge to change the frame. However, few days later, was called by the store advising that their manager asked me to pay extra to change the frame. They also offered me to pay extra to change the lenses. In short, they asked for extra money in order to get the problem resolved. The experience made me feel that customer had to accept whatever produced by them, no matter if you reported the issue and expressed the concern when collecting the glasses or returned the glasses when found they are not working at all. Agreed with one of the recent comments that charging extra afterwards is highway robbery. My glasses were with the store for months and I managed to find a time to collect it few days ago. It is just a pair of glasses, although not working from day 1. The experience worth me leaving a review here to remind whoever visiting this store to be careful when making decision.
The audiologist who looked after me was Mr Alvin Gan. I initially bought an almost invisible pair of hearing aids from Specsavers. But was not happy with the results and was returning to the Store on a weekly basis. Alvin could not have been more helpful. Always ready to listen to how I was trying to achieve the best possible results and fine tuning my aids many times. Alvin's patience, warm friendly manner and willingness to meet with me to discuss the issues l experienced was Customer Service of the highest standard sadly all to rare these days. My hearing is much improved and that is more important. There are many choices of who to go to when you need this service and l cannot recommend Alvin more highly.
Have used this store twice in the last 12 months or so. First time, there was a mix up with the SMS notifications to say my glasses were ready and they ended up sitting in the store for 4-6 weeks without my knowledge. Most recently, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses, distance and reading glasses, both were made up to the distance prescription and now I have to wait again whilst they fix the mistake. Lovely staff, always friendly, just extremely lacking in process and accuracy.
Good, friendly service is always available at Specsavers. Coupled with a wide selection of frames and lenses it will keep me coming back.
This store will mess up your order twice!, and then tell you that you have to pay more money to get your glasses! If i knew the price from the start, i would have selected a different option...increasing the price by $155 AFTER consultation and payment is done is highway robbery, and i am held to ransom to pay this to get my glasses.
My recent purchase in the Pines Specsavers was a good experience. The optometrist in particular patiently explained to me my eye condition and also recommend the type of lens that suited my purpose. There were also a good variety of frame for me to choose from including some well known brands. The staff were also friendly and courteous.
Staff were kind and listening, helpful and friendly. Communications were easy and I got appropriate consultation about my eyes' condition. Just my prescription sunglasses got some issue that cause foggy as soon as I wear it without wearing any mask in normal condition so I can't use it at all especially while driving because I can not see anything but its lockdown so I wait until they open again so hopefully they can fix or allow me to return it.
Took my 80 year old mother here but unfortunately the lenses she got make her feel unbalanced. Even when she got fitted they were not right and they tried to fix and send off...in the end she was tired so gave in and said they were ok to finish the very long appointment. A few months later she was checked over by another optometrist who told her the lens fitted were incorrect. Have gone back to Spec savers to see if they will fix...only after much arguement did they agree to see her. Not confident they will be able to fix especially after reading similar complaints in the reviews though.
This is the best of the optometrist shop I have ever been with. They are all very professional, polite and efficient. The quality of their job is above the range and remarkable. I recommend them for eyes and ear needs.
I would like to acknowledge the exemplary customer service I received on two separate occasions by Sha at The Pines Specsavers store. I called with an enquiry and ended up coming in because of her. Sha was extremely helpful and went over and beyond to make me feel like I matter and all my needs are met. In actual fact all your staff there are wonderful but Sha is definitely a standout!!! Regards Maryse
