The support staff are very good but the surgery practice is not. My dog had a lump removed and the stitches were bunched up. The vet said that that is what happens when you stitch a round hole straight, but I've had dogs all my life and have never seen anything like this. They put in three stitches. My dog hasn't worried the stitches at all but the last stitch on the right hand side has broken free of the bunched up skin leaving an open wound, just through his normal movement. The left hand stitch is still holding the skin in an awful knot that is attracting flys. It's Christmas and I'm taking my dog to an emergency vet. I won't be going back there again. I don't know how to post photos here but if I could You would know how concerned I am.

Dr Austin came to our property to assist us with our final moments with our most beloved of dogs. He was lovely, compassionate and patient. The support staff who made the arrangements were also great. Thanks for your profressionalism and caring.

All the staff and vets are kind compassionate and very caring. We recently went through the difficult process of having our best girl, Bella, diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and also other complications. When we decided that sleep was her best option the staff were so compassionate and understanding that it made the decision somewhat easier to bear. Thank you to all the wonderful staff - they care and understand what it is to share your life with a fur child xxxx

Costly. Normal standard care but inflexible about costs - if your dog is dying and you don't have the money upfront, too bad... Hobart Community Vet actually helps out and offers payment plans for people on low incomes to get treatment in an emergency (and it's not VetPay either, which is subject to many conditions low income earners can not meet)

Our Kelpie x Cattle dog (Kirra) accidentally chewed a full 25 Mg Voltaren tablet which I was lucky enough to catch her in the act. We phoned the team at the Surgery and the Vet Nurse was brilliant saying that she would get back to me ASAP after consulting the Vet. You could only imagine our distress not knowing what the possible complications may be from Kirra ingesting this tablet. They were so quick to allay our fears and confirm what information I had managed to gather from Google search on the subject. Absolutely BRILLIANT and would not hesitate to recommend this Surgery to anyone in the Huon Valley / Channel area. 5 STAR all the way!
