Pros:The location is the top of Perth. Free parkings are on Sunday if there's no events. Booking system is very convenient and no fuss. Music is nice and soft. Most importantly,the current chefs are awesome. They know what they are doing. Signature dishes are well prepared! To be improved: Customer Services. The boys and girls there are trying really hard but still they need to be better trained to greet promptly and look after customers needs. It seems they're short of staffs especially in peak hours. Even just one more professional senior greeting will make a difference. It all takes time to learn good customer service unfortunately. Tips:Peak hours are after dark,better book if a group is more than 4 then. Secret of happy dinning is lower your expectations of everything before you come here.
The finest Vietnamese restaurant in Perth. Try the maroon grilled with green sauce, amazing. If you want to try something off the menu please ask the staff and you will be amazed
2nd time here for lunch. Beautiful riverside view and peaceful breeze. The beefsteak was made with Vietnamese style. Its so delicious with a piece of white cheese and pate. Highly recommend
Not recommended this place. I’m sorry being honest, I’ve been to many Vietnamese Restaurants in Perth, but this is one of two restaurants I don't want to suggest. Their food seems don't reach the standard with their prices.
We are big fan of seafood and only this restaurant can cater us with unique supply of fresh marrons, snails, variety of clams, lobsters and crabs hotpots etc. The owners are easy to contact with Can-Do attitude on our orders. Food is fresh and delicious everytime. Pricing suits to location. Our baby boy loves flat noodle hot pot and fried rice. My husband is into crunchy Tamarind Fish Fillet big portion !!! and my favs are all the clams dishes. We will come back.
No faults here. I came early so it was quiet and peaceful. Location wise it’s great. The phò bo that I had was subtle in its flavours. I find the lighter the broth more natural and balanced the flavours are. It’s filling, but compared to other places the serving was about a cup or more smaller. That won’t stop me coming back though.
Amazing food, I have been a vegetarian all my life ans I havenever had such a delicious dish of tofu. The sauce was perfect, the tofu was werfect and the veges were delicious. Such good value too! Had a great cocktail. I'm impressed ans I'll be back. Definitely recommend it.
I’ve been to this restaurant only once but the others with me had been there a few times before. The food is always good and satisfied my fellow diners. It’s rightly priced with a good variety and good value for money indeed. Great service too! It's so close to the Concert Hall and the view of the Swan River is amazing! Will go there again for sure.
We passed by the Southern Star walking from our hotel Hyatt towards the Elizabeth Quay. The menu looked interesting so we went in and picked a table out front looking towards the Swan River. All the food was excellent - particularly the roast duck salad, and several others in my group had the 'build your own wok' selection which allowed you to choose the protein and the sauce. Reasonably priced too.
Service was slow, portions were too small AND they overcharged on the bill. We ordered ginger fish and were lucky to get 2 mouthfuls. We were overcharged on the food and the wine which , to my mind amounts to cheating the customer. Gave only one star to post the feedback as I would prefer to give NO STARS
