Lovely morning tea here. Lemon cake with the right level of tang and sweetness, savoury cheese and chili scone, and chocolate and raspberry cupcake. The coffees were lovely - latte is in a glass. Very friendly helpful staff. My son had the burger a previous day and it was huge and well appreciated. Highly recommended.

Not open but lovely check in staff. It is regional airport in nz so what can you expect??? Super friendly people so that helps :-

Took a group here yesterday for morning tea.  Fabulous coffee, and huge scones & muffins and so delicious.  lovely chatty owner and very helpful and our wait was very minimal for a crowd of us. Most impressed Airport Cafe, I will be back.  Thank you

Well done on getting the cafe up and going again after the lockdown. I only had a cup of coffee here, but it was great. It is important to have coffee available for those early morning flights

Barista can definitely make good coffee. Large means large. And speaking of large, the cake portions and the wedges I saw delivered to neighbouring tables probably should get  building consents they're so big. Tasty food, great coffee and very good prices. I'll be back for large!

Very enjoyable salad for lunch. And generous portions of lovely cake - great value for money. We wanted to support the new owner and were pleased we did, we would visit again.

Brilliant to be able to have a great cup of coffee while waiting for early morning flight. Lovely lady behind counter was run off her feet but still kept the smile on her face

This cafe will be for some travellers, their first point of contact and longest lasting impression of our beautiful city,  understandably this is a leased space so the cafe is limited by this.  The tables and space was clean.  Would suggest that condiments be also placed on tables so patrons don’t have to go looking  This appeared to be a new venture with new staff - very nervous staff, who needed a register that could maybe record our orders so they would not have to struggle to record them,  felt very sorry for the young lady, as the coffee order was delivered and was wrong. Apology accepted.  The meals were all delivered at different times - which was a little disappointing and meant we had to follow up and felt forgotten.  And there were only three other groups waiting.  Local market research might assist in presentation and content of breakfast.  For the price required, it would be nice not to have precooked breakfast sausages, undercooked oily hashbrowns, eggs with shell in them, and bread toasted so gently it might have just come out of the bag.  Would suggest this cafe and staff could be better - be individual.  Have a point of difference from all the other cafes in Whanganui.  Would be lovely to have Whanganui flavour - rewa bread, kumara, fried bread, venison, Kawai -  be you.  Be Whanganui.  You can do this!

A lovely spot. Very relaxing with good coffee and snack prior to departure. My family and I always come out to the airport earlier than usual to enjoy the cafe.
