I parked on Hawthorn Road in a 15 minute carpark and walked into Soundair just to get an idea of speaker prices, and ended up staying to chat with Brad for over 3 hours... My experience at Soundair was hands-down the best shopping experience I have ever had in my life. The quality of customer service was ten times as good as the beautiful German ELAC speakers I walked away with that day. Rather than just sell me a speaker which I knew nothing about, Brad very kindly sat me down in his room full of speakers, and one by one, played each of them with one of my favourite songs playing through them, so I could compare at my own pace, and truly hone in on my favourite sound. Importantly, Brad and the team worked within my budget and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. In fact, my current amplifier was purchased second-hand from Soundair, which they had repaired themselves - another service they offer. I am so glad I stepped foot into Soundair that day, and I suggest you do the same if you are on the hunt for anything hi fi related. My husband and I decided to upgrade some speakers a few months ago and we couldn't have come to a better place to do so. I thought I'd be bored out of my mind tagging along to something I know nothing about but I had so much fun doing the sound test to pick out which speakers we liked the most and chitchatting about Harry Potter and Japan!. Amazingly enough, my hubby and I ended up liking the same ones so that's what we went with. Brad was very kind, knowledgable and patient and as someone who usually feels pressure in my own mind! to buy something when I walk into a store, I felt so comfortable and relaxed at Soundair that we ended up harrassing him to give us suggestions on subwoofers and well...basically a whole new Hi Fi system. Wayne was also lovely and very patient and you can tell that they both love what they do. Because of the lockdowns in Melb, we have had many of our renovations and furniture/package orders be delayed or postponed etc. but Brad has been the only one to keep in touch with us regularly this entire time to update us on our order and just to check in and see how we're doing. Not only this but he has gone above and beyond with everything that we ordered or asked about but didn't buy, that it feels more like a good friend helping us out. Whether you're an audiophile or completely clueless like me, Soundair is the place to go. Customer service like this is so rare these days, the prices are more than reasonable and Brad will work well within your budget. We are absolutely in love with our Hi Fi system and it's not even completely set up yet!. Also, if you're nice and lucky enough, Brad may even let you test out the 'bladder buster'.

Simply superb service! Brad will help find the right hi-fi set-up for your ears and your needs. The experience of listening to the wall of speakers to find one that matches your ears is a must do - all of the speakers are fantastic quality and it strips away your preconceived notions based on brand, look, or technicality, making it all about the sound - and that's what we're here for at the end of the day!

Would never go back to Soundair. I bought a $400 secondhand amplifier from Brad. He raved about it. Unfortunately after 1 week, it blew up. I took it back to be repaired, as it was still under warranty. Days later, he rang me to say he would not cover the warranty because I had brought the amplifier back "not in the condition he sold it to me". What!?!? I have been buying high-end hifi gear for 45 years, and have NEVER had this happen, even with secondhand gear. Brad was loudly telling me that if I wanted my amp repaired, it would cost me $200, even though I only had it for 1 week, and it was still under warranty. So eventually I reluctantly paid, to get the amplifier back. Not to mention the faulty tapedeck he sold me a couple of years ago. Let this be a warning to anyone who may purchases or get repairs from this man.

Outstanding service and awesome Customer service. I have been a customer for over 20 years with absolutely no issues. Brad and Team have been professional, well mannered and demonstrated extreme knowledge in the Stereo Component selection, advise, configuration and after sales care. I have no issue to recommend this company for all of your stereo, hi-fi and aido / video requirements. No where have i found a better Team in Melbourne. What a wonderful store! I have been buying my equipment from Soundair for over 10 years. The customer service is second to none. Recently I bought the magnificent Rega Rp8. This purchase was plague with bad luck and faulty equipment but the Brad at Soundair was fantastic. He handled the situation with professionalism and care and made sure I was completely happy with my purchase in the end. So I like to thank you and Tim R.i.p for years of audio bliss. See you soon
