I visit this shop from Gold Coast.It was nice parfait and cakes. I take away cheesecake today. Parfait also nice. Ice cream , crunchy , and jelly and warabimochi in side it. Very nice. If you take away cake, it is better to bring cooler bag and cooler ice too. Every cake fresh .
Dined in on a weekend and had the matcha parfait and the matcha warabi mochi. For the amount and quality of ingredients you get in the parfait, it was great value. The matcha warabi mochi was also tasty and very soft, though the matcha sauce didn't really add much more flavour to the warabi mochi which was already coated with matcha powder. Would recommend the traditional warabi mochi if you prefer something sweeter which is paired with kinako powder and brown sugar syrup. Also bought a number of cakes to try which was the highlight; although expensive the cakes were actually quite big and more importantly all of them were delicious; matcha flavour was strong and earthy, plenty of fruits were used for the shortcakes, strawberries were fresh and sweet, cream and sponge was on point, and the flavours were balanced and not too sweet. Overall a great Japanese dessert café; weekends are definitely way more busy so try weekday if possible; highly recommend the cakes even if you had to get takeaway.
Sonder Dessert is aesthetically pleasing. I do not typically like matcha but Sonder might have converted me. The shop is super cute and busy. There was only 1 girl working and she did amazing work while it was busy. Everything was delicious and the quality of service was amazing. Definitely recommend coming here.
If you love Matcha and cute desserts then Sonder is the place to go! Avoid going at close because they often sell out of the favourites. The Basque cheesecake is great to share and the mochi is so soft! They do takeaway too
As easy choice where to eat dessert after dinner. There is parking issue for this place, it can be hard sometimes. Staff were friendly and helpful. A bit slow in service as more people know about this place. We had ice cream, chai latte, dessert and dessert. As usual, my kids love it!
Sesame latte 2/5 Matcha parfait 3/5 Was excited to try this place but let down. I came before closing so wasn't many desserts available. The sesame latte tasted very ordinary. I had a few sips and threw it out it just wasn't what I expected at all. Matcha parfait price seemed high. I felt like for the price they could have made it better. It was just sugary from the ice cream and everything else was very underwhelming. Ingredients like cornflakes, jelly, mainly vanilla ice cream wasn't impressed. Would give this place another try for one of their desserts they have ready made.
Ordered the $9 cones; really enjoyed the yuzu and mango. $40 worth of cakes: basque cheesecake, matcha and black sesame cakes as well. Enjoyed the basque quite a bit; thought the matcha was bit heavy towards the end. Both indoor and outdoor r seating; enjoyed the outdoor seats.
Great white peach cheesecake. Prices are on the higher end. The venue has a welcoming vibe but cushions could do with some cleaning.
I almost try everything here and fruit sorbet a little bit too sweet and not very tasteful and cake is well and cafe . But Ice cream with small ice cubes black sesame ice cream is good. Very friendly staff and good service.
If you're a fan of all things matcha like I am then you'll love this cafe. The matcha cake was delicious and not too sweet. They have a wide variety of desserts to choose from although I think their desserts are quite expensive.
