Went here from 2019-2020. From what I’ve heard here and there it’s deteriorated a bit from since then with recent fights with lack of adequate action from the school, prolific bullying and whatnot although it’s a decent school, at least back then. The highlight was most definitely the actual physical layout with a huge field and a generally large area with trees, bushes, etc which was fun to walk around during lunch. To anyone reading this who goes there now, don’t take that space for granted.nIn hindsight, some teachers were quite strict for no good reason it was yr 7 and 8.. come on. that mathbuddy homework was unnecessarily inefficient and because they removed what was arguably the best part of the school the library which was spacious and had a deck with shade that was fun to sit on during the summer reading or playing card games and turned it into classrooms which only incurs more loss than gain.
Today is the last day of the year 8’s, I didn’t attend the last day but this year was pretty great tbh. One of the good and bad sides are there is a project I don’t even get to see but the year 7’s do so,ncool, the bad sides is some substitues are bad some are good strict science teacher btw anyways, good school.
Okay, I know that like half of the 1 star reviews are probably commenting about how the school has created a really bad environment for bullying and violence, though as a student who comes here, that’s not really the case.nnI do believe that the school could’ve done a bit more with the bullying and fighting incident that took place quite recently, though overall, I love this school and I think it’s a great place to explore new opportunities. And also, please do not flame the school as for the majority of the time, they handle situations quite nicely.
I'm giving Somerville Intermediate School a terrible review because something horrific happened there - a student got hurt by someone else, and the school didn't even call for an ambulance to help them! This is super upsetting because it shows that the school doesn't care enough about keeping its students safe, and it's left a lot of people feeling scared and worried. I was going to send my child here next year but knowing this information and with this team of teachers it is not safe
This school was MASSIVE and the classes were LOW-key good. Hope they don't TAPER the learning so the school doesn't FADE
