Clean, beautiful, ever changing beach. Stairs from car park can be hard work. Fantastic place to swim and snorkel. Lots to see beneath the waves. No big waves or swells means great beach for children. Lots of responsible dog owners. Dolphins swim by most mornings and afternoons.
Lovely calm beach, dog friendly! Stairs to get down so not really wheelchair assessable. Loads of rocks at low tide, not a shell beach.
Gorgeous stretch of sand. Often visited by dolphins. Dogs are allowed on leash only. There is a pontoon to swim/paddle out to. Great beach for swimming and paddleboarding, but usually minimal waves.
Great little beach. Was calm , no waves and clean from my experience. Lots of different trails to walk, to access beach itself. Fishing was good in the few hrs that i was there
Gorgeous beach. Nobody about at all except for one person - had the whole beach to ourselves. You can access the beach via Coolart Homestead & Wetlands as well. I will definitely be coming back here!
Often subject to sand blasting winds due to weather fronts that come out of nowhere, this beach is often lost completely to high tide. Contrary to other reviews here, it is not an off leash area for dogs and rangers frequently hand out infringements to offenders.
A quiet and secluded beach, even for Sunday and 38 degrees in Melbourne! Dog friendly but a word of warning, it is a very rocky beach in the water and my kids had a few cuts from playing in the water.
Nice beach to have a look. You can walk the koala trail and picnic in some seats.
Lovely beach for a walk with views across to Phillip Island. Great cloudscapes the few times I’ve been there.
Somers beach is a worthwhile place to relax and enjoy a quiet beach away from the crowds. The beach is dog friendly. Occasionally there can be a surf break but it is more often quite calm water. There are toilets and change rooms available.
