I was taken to Sophia's in Burwood for my birthday! Such a wonderful birthday gift! I know the food is not especially healthy, but No one is going here for a healthy meal. We are going for a delicious meal Obviously taste is subjective, but Sophia's is one of my favourite places to eat. I love all of the meals i ate here refer to my attached pictures. Next time I shouldn't leave so many years between visits : Parking: Easy
Love the combo deals that they have. Pizzas are really good. Great sized, have heaps of toppings and the pizzas are soft and well done. Can’t fault this one. The pastas were a little bland for our liking. Maybe because we are used to a different type of sauce. We have tried a few of their pastas and their quantity is good enough for maybe 3 people. Some of them stand out very well, have a good protein content. The garlic bread was a downer for us. Mined garlic spread across a cooked bread which was nice and soft but lacked the garlic punch.
Staff was very nice. Fast-service. Had their pasta marinara for the first time and fried calamari and also cheese cake for takeaway. Everything was fine except their heater wasn’t working that night so we couldn’t enjoy the atmosphere much. Fried calamari and cheese cake are averagely good and huge just like another Sofia so no complain
My family and I enjoyed our reunion at sofias. The food and value for money was outstanding in spite of the escalating inflation rates all over the world. Wish all business people were not so greedy and taking advantage of the financial crisis. Big thanks to cute Sari the waiter for managing our table of 10. God bless to you
Such a great family run restaurant! Food is for filling and we left nice and full! We will definitely be back to try out or have the same things.
Have been coming here for special occasions for 20 years now. Such an authentic Italian Family Restaurant. Big serve. Fresh ingredients and the cakes are a plus!
Spaghetti-3/5 fair Sofia special pizza: 1/5 very disappointed, we ordered the small size and can’t even finish my slice. We left more than half of the pizza… Service: 2/5 I would say no service at all. Most of the waiters not taking orders. Wanted to order dessert after meal and have been waiting for more than 10mins and no one is coming to take our order so we just left Overall : big portions and fair price. I am not sure whether is the foods that I ordered is just not right as many review said the foods are good. What we had were not so good. And the staffs are just too busy so that I can’t even have a conversation to ask what do they recommend. Not recommended to come during the weekend otherwise maybe they will be able to serve you better.
The place is huge and very nice. There's plenty of parking behind the restaurant and also in front of the restaurant on the service road. The portions are really big, but the taste wasn't good. Was disappointed with the risotto, schnitzel. The Tandoori Pizza was good. I visited the place again, and the experience was similar. May be a little bit better this time. The beef lasagna was alright, and the garlic bread was good, too. Many people visit this place because the portions are good, the service is fast, and it's easy to get a table. The sad part is they microwave many fully cooked meals to maintain speedy service.
Yummy food, prompt service, friendly staff and good quantity. Value for money. Nice place to dine out and for parties.
Big portion even one plate surely enough to fit 2-3 mouth! Perfect taste and perfect for gathering and gossiping
