Nice joint for American style smoky bbq.  Ordered the Philly burger, nachos, hot wings and beef short rib plate. We had more than enough for 2.  Hot wings were nice, a fairly traditional take on buffalo wings. Short rib was a highlight - incredibly tender, smoky & flavourful. Burger and nachos were disappointingly bland.  I would definitely come back for the BBQ!

Smoky Sue's is not just an ordinary American BBQ, their specialties are in the process of the meat to slow cook and smoke meats into a melting brisket! This time, we ordered the burgers, they’re very generous on the serving size. I mean, look at that loaded fillings and sauces!! Overall, they had a delicious slow cooked meats, love the experience!! Surely will come back here and try their special share platter!!

My wife and I loved the food at Smoky Sue's Barbecue. As expected, the meat had a wonderful smoky flavour. The corn ribs were delicious and so too were the cheesy chips which we had with brisket.Recommended dishesLoaded Fries, Beef Brisket

Serves low and slow cooked American style BBQ. Their meat were perfectly cooked and tender with a distinct taste. I absolutely loved their corned ribs. So good .

BBQ is hard to do well! Its a slow and expensive process and the menu reflects this effort. We had the brisket plate, onion rings, fried chicken and mac and cheese bombs to share. Food came quick, within 10 mins of ordering. Unfortunately the cut of brisket was dry. Such a missed opportunity. The fattier bits were delicious with the jalapeño chimichurri and BBQ sauce. The fries were done really well! Very moreish. Pickles were needed to cut all the greasiness of the meal. The slaw was disappointing, to be served of tissue paper is a bad idea, everything gets soggy and you end up eating some of the paper. The onion rings were real proper ones. The batter was crisp and redeeming. The chicken too was better than the brisket! It looked overdone but was actually very juicy and tender. The mac and cheese bombs were disappointing, it was homogeneous inside, there was no distinctive macaroni inside. It wasn’t seasoned enough and was overall bland. We left feeling very full. For a $73 meal I don’t think I would be happy but we did have a $25 voucher to help with the bill and felt it was definitely worth the experience.

Smoking sue is good for smoke lover. Brisket is so delicious, totally recommended. Fries is so crispy and tasty. Others is ok. Atmosphere is also not bad. Love the place

Smoky Sue has been on my bucket list ever since their promo video popped up in my FB feed about a year ago.The 40km drive from North Shore was totally worth it.From amazing hospitality to delicious slow cooked meats,it was a stupendous experience.Perfectly slow cooked brisket and ribs are not easy to find where we live at least. The meat jus slides off the bone and the flavour is awesome.Couldn't try the burgers. Surely will be coming back for more.

Had a great time at Smokey Sues, the food and drinks were really AMAZING. We got the meat platter so we could try everything and all was just really tender and delicious. They got a decent drink menu aswell definitely paired well with the food. The only downside was it took a while for food etc to come out but just like the rest of hospitality everyone is short staffed but I won't hold that against them! I highly recommend!

Great American BBQ! Food is tasty and not oily! and their portion sizes are great for what you pay. Highlights were their fried chicken and their onion rings. I'll definitely be back here one day to try more of their dishes!

Probably one of my favourite burgers of the year. It was so juicy and full of flavour. I love their burger of the month creations!! Comes with fries too and super affordable. Their share platter was OK, unfortunately the brisket was a bit dry and the pork belly was too fatty but everything else was amaaaazing   For an in-depth review with pricing, check out my instagram @asydneysider
