Excellent service from information staff!nCafe serving good food at very reasonable prices.nFresh milk is available - buy the bottle and fill - when you are finished, you can bring it back for a refill for $3:50. Beautiful fresh and creamy! Highly recommend you stop by this info centre.nThank you Smithton!
Great visitors centre, friendly helpful staff. Beautifully filmed video screening of the area, explaining the diversity of the various areas and businesses put to very emotional music. It was stunning.
Went to this lovely information centre in Smithton, met Helene the super friendly staff member.Wow so incredibley lovely ,happy ,friendly just a real joy to talk to .You can see she loves her job and she is brilliant at it.Did the robot Dairy tour, was really awesome how it works and happy cows.100%recommend you pop in here and look around .
We sat down to watch the short film clips about produce in the local area. It was really fascinating and enjoyable to watch.nWe did a cheese tasting and purchased some cheeses. Tastings cost $5 unless you purchase cheese at which point they are free. We enjoyed most of the cheeses.nWe also purchased a glass jar and some milk from here. Milk was delicious!nThere is a small museum with a small entry fee but we didn't do this.nYou can also pay for a tour that takes you out to the dairy to see the cows being milked. I think it was about $60 for a family to do this tour which in our opinion is overpriced particularly when we saw the cows being automatically milked for free at Pyengana.nCoffees at Cafe were ok.nBuilding is wheelchair accessible.
Excellent start to tour the area and try local cheeses and honey.
