Dr.Mithuna & Dr. Venkat established SmileArt Group in 2006 to offer Orthodontic solutions and Endodontic care to the Bay of Plenty community.

Why we do What we do;
Dr.Mithuna: I love transforming smiles and seeing shy people bloom and become more confident as their treatment progresses. I love meeting families and getting to know them over the duration of the care provided by us. We are a family friendly practice and take pride in the personal attention to our patients.

I have over 10 years of experience in Orthodontics. I have a Masters degree in Orthodontics from India and completed a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh). I’m fortunate to have mentors who are world leaders in Contemporary Orthodontics.

We offer empathy and care of the highest standard. We are committed in the pursuit of excellence in orthodontics.
Dr.Venkat: My work gives me tremendous satisfaction as I’m able to alleviate pain and maintain oral health for my patients. I have been enjoying dentistry for over 20 years and look forward to be the best I can everyday. Some of the best dentists in Tauranga, Te Puke, Katikati, Waihi, Matamata, Rotorua, Te Aroha, Coromandel Coast and Gisborne trust me to deliver the best care for their patients for the past eight years.

I’m very fortunate to have mentors who are world leaders in Endodontics. I have surrounded myself and interact with quality centered clinicians across the globe. I travel extensively to update my skills and have established a state of the art Microscope- centric endodontic practice. I meticulously document my work and share it with my peers across the globe. I also have a passion for teaching and conduct endodontic courses for dentists and Endodontists.

Ours is a referral based practice and we offer all forms of endodontic (root canal) treatment
