My case took a few years to settle as we were dealing with a difficult party, but it has been a positive experience & over the years I had to deal with a few different staff but totally understandable considering the time factor. Not only is Brian extremely professional and supportive, his knowledge of DVA processes and the Acts that govern them, is without equal. The team at slater and Gordon, Shelley, Ayesha and Tim in particular who were in charge of my public liability case were amazing, the process was speedy and i was always kept informed of the  processes stage by stage. I first contacted Slater and Gordon for legal action for a workplace injury. That was when I first found out about the TPD in my Super insurance. Louise and Leonie have been great and in touch with me every step of the way with updates. Just over 6 months and about to receive my payout. Sounds easy, right. Louise’s  and Leonie’s expertise is what made it easy. I would not have wanted to do it alone. Highly recommend.

Anyone looking for a Military compensation lawyer I can't recommend Slater & Gordon enough, in particular, Brian Briggs. His knowledge and understanding on DVA and their system/protocols is extremely re-assuring and so very helpful. Every time I felt overwhelmed or unsure about something, I could always ring and speak to Brian - and if he didn't answer, he would call me back almost instantly. Same goes with Hilary Briggs who also helped guide me on this journey in which I received the best possible outcome I could hope for. I struggled originally with finding good health care professionals who understood the struggles and stresses that you deal with when going through the DVA process and Brian and Hilary steered me in the right directions which made a massive positive impact on not only my health but also with my claims as they understood the processes - this made dealing with this whole process much easier. Brian was also upfront about fees and costs which were very reasonable in the scheme of things because if it wasn't for him and Hilary, I wouldn't have gotten the outcome I got. All in all, well worth the money and couldn't recommend them enough.

I was facing an impending medical discharge in the ADF and felt completely overwhelmed by the fear of the unknown that was dealing with DVA Claims and transitioning back in to the civilian world. The tedious and convoluted claims process, as well as the extremely poor wait times and service from DVA was a major stressor in an otherwise already difficult time. Deciding to use Slater and Gordon was one of the best decision's I have ever made. I am certainly glad I didn't risk using DVA Advocates or attempt trying to claim myself. I was appointed with Pia Annan-Anderson who is a military compensation lawyer and also had Ashleigh Cutler who was also instrumental in a successful push to progress my DVA claims. Pia and Ash were amazing for me and eliminated any stress involved with the DVA Claim process, they conducted all dealings with DVA and acted as a conduit between myself and the government department. They were able to get a huge result on my claims that were far beyond expectation and for things I didn't even realise I could claim. I no longer had sleepless nights, or felt any stress knowing that they were there to help me. They set realistic expectations and were completely transparent about their processes, fees and about DVA. I would highly recommend anyone seeking Military Compensation contact Slater & Gordon. I am eternally grateful for their hard work and dedication. It will be sad that I will no longer require their help as they were a pleasure to deal with, however I will look back fondly knowing I had an incredible law team there to help me.
