Just went there to see the lunar new year deco 2026 the year of the horse. Love the Chinese deco. Liked the lucky draw. On the way catching the bus 22 ..... Lots of interesting restaurants and convenience store around ... Very near the wharf and souvenir shops and maritime musuem and art gallery.

If you're looking to drive outside the city, Turo isn't an option. However, Cityhop is a great affordable alternative, although rentals are limited to hourly or daily bookings. To use Cityhop, you'll need to download their app and have a New Zealand phone number - we purchased a local SIM card to make it work. The hotel was able to provide a Sim card which we loaded.

Fabulous experience. Our bed was superb, pillows divine and the buffet breakfast absolutely top notch!nThe free upgrade to a Super King Balcony room made it just a little more special.nThe staff were amazing and very accommodating in all 3 of Sky City's Hotels.nSadly, the only thing that let you down was a staff member at the buffet breakfast on The Terrace of The Grand; an older gentlemen of Asian decent, wiping seats and then immediately wiping table tops with the same cloth. I would've thought that was hospitality 101 and a no brainer when it comes to hygiene...nSorry, but he stole your fifth star!

CASINO REVIEWnnDon't know what happened to the memberships but the parking has changed - used to be able to park free a few times a year with your membership, now you have to spend atleast $40 on gaming to get half price parking and $100 for free parking.nnFood is good, enjoyed that. Live band the Friday night we went and that was pretty cool. But yeah, the parking thing throws me. Probs won't go as often now, rather play online where parking is free no matter how much you spend.

Fantastic hotel.  Location is perfect to restaurants, shops and had a casino inside it.   Breakfast is very good with a wide variety. Easy walk to the harbor.  Gym has a great lap pool
