Had a booking for a car WITH a child seat added.nCalled Sixt on the morning pickup was at 7pm to double check the child seat, because we've previously had a child seat booked and it wasn't in the car. Having been burnt before, we thought we'd make sure. Sixt added a charge to our booking over the phone and said it would be ready.nArrived at 7.30pm, child seat wasn't ready, not on the booking, and they didn't have one!!!nnWe had to wait in the cold Canberra airport he locked the Sixt office with our toddler, that was ready for bed because of time zone charges, whilst the guy drove the car somewhere else, found a car seat, fitted the car seat and drove the car back to us.nAppreciated, but...n30mins later, the car arrives, we load up and drive it the car park, but can't get out the parking gate. There's three cars behind us, and we have to reverse out, and go back to the Sixt office and get the QR Code to let us out.nnEverything about that was sub par.nnThen, the car Tesla 3 has one wheel that is completely different from the others, and a broken passenger seat adjuster so my partner can't even move her seat.
Pick up and drop off was easy, car was in good condition and drove well. The instruction sheet in the vehicle on recharging could have been more explicit; it assumed someone had driven an electric car before and understood where the charging cables were and how they attached and detached - simple when you've done it before, but not so at the first attempt. Finding charging locations proved somewhat of a challenge. However, once charged, the BYD was good to drive around Canberra.
We have hired an electric car. The staff didn’t give us enough information about charging times and locations. We have google it, however when we tried to charge in the hotel house PowerPoint that car charged for 12 hours and only 25% was added.nLong story short we waste a lot of time in our trip to find a good spot to charge the car.nWhen I called the office for some assistance the Manager was rude and told me that should have done research myself.nI believe I could have done that, however it would take 5 extra minutes for the staff to make sure people are aware. Also it’s quite dangerous sending people long distances in electric car without proper knowledge.
not even 1 star not reliable,unfair and useless cusromer service.nNot recommended to amyone to use this company.nI had booked a car on Friday 02/08/2024 at 8.30pm and I return a car on Saturday 7.15pm It's only one day hire but they charge me for 2 days fees because they hadn't check their own car until early morning on Sunday and then sending an invoice to me that they did charge for 2 days fees that unfair for me and I'm so disappointed and also I did try to contact to the company on Sunday after I got an e-mail but the staff said that I have to wait for someone will ring me back to solve the issue and since from Sunday,I haven't got any phone calling or even e-mail.nI would not recommend to anyone and I will tell everyone about 'How bad is it'
These guys are excellent, I found their customer service 10/10 and they will do everything to help you out. The price was also excellent. We will use them again! Thanks Chris!
