Very frustrated! Non countable at this location. Left a package in the back seat, my fault but can’t speak with them so they can check. Spoke to call centre, over seas of course and they will pass on a email and I will hear back in maybe 24 hours! By that time the car will be re rented or someone would have taken it!nThanks Avis, lovely doing business with you!
The number on Google is not connected & dispute calling the Avis customer service number overseas it is impossible to speak with anyone in this major outlet. 2 days later & still waiting for the rental agreement to be supplied providing details of excess & cost. Shame all numbers are diverted overseas where English is not 1st language & little customer support. 1 star Avis
The worst service I have ever received. Over the past 5 days I have rang not only the customer service number for Avis a number of times, but the direct phone number for Avis Canberra Airport literally 50 times and left voice messages. Surprisingly no one has EVER answered the direct Canberra number from my calls or the generic overseas call centres calls either. I left my sunnies in the car and I know exactly where I left them and called 5 minutes after I dropped the car off! I have sent multiple emails to Avis email addresses and no one has responded to any of my emails either. I am an Avis preferred member and will never use Avis ever again.
Mostly a normal experience hiring a car for a week. Until, I returned the car well on time, but this office charged me for an extra day. I enquired, and provided proof that I returned the car on time, and two weeks later I'm still waiting on a refund for the mistaken overcharge.
In December 2023, I hired a car from this establishment and had the pleasure of dealing with Yousef. He is an extremely friendly and kind person who assisted me throughout the entire process. Initially, he upgraded my car to a hybrid SUV at no additional cost. Additionally, when I required an extension for my rental agreement, he ensured a seamless and smooth experience for me.
