Julie is a phenomenal yoga educator. She has helped me so much go from someone with very little confidence to use my yoga teacher training qualifications to someone who has found my place in how I teach yoga. She has 30 years of experience and is definitely a thought leader in our industry. If you are someone who lacks confidence or just wants to get back to that feeling of immersion and deep connection you had in your yoga training, Julie is your woman. Her trainings are so informative and there is a reason she is known as the teachers teacher.
Julie is the real deal! She is such a fabulous yogi, educator, philosopher and inspiring friend. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to take her teacher training class. Her knowledge and experience put her amongst the best teachers here in Brisbane. Her classes aren't just about pretty poses, but about helping people to understand and use yoga alignment principles to heal the body and the mind. I recommend her classes, workshops and training to everyone, and particularly those that want more than the standard class.
Julie is a phenomenal teacher, weaving in her extensive years of experience with so much personal warmth, soul and connection. I walk away from her teaching buzzing with inspiration to be a better teacher and human.
I spoke to a LOT of yoga teachers in Brisbane about where to go to do my 200hr YTT, and I got the same response from everyone: Go see Julie. And I'm so grateful I did! Julie is an absolute GODDESS in the realm of teacher teachings. This last year of training has been the most inspiring journey and has forever changed my yoga practice for the better. Julie is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable yoga instructors! Her vision for yoga and creating space for inclusive and attentive practice is beautiful. As a curvy yoga practicioner and instructor, she has encouraged me from the beginning and I have never felt anything but safe, seen and heard in her classes. Julie taught me how to teach but more importantly helped me have the confidence in myself to go out and actually do it, and conquer the fear and self doubt!! Highly Recommended!!
I did my 200HR yoga teacher training at Shri and it was such an incredible experience. Julie and the team bring together the physical practice with the spiritual side of yoga in a really inspiring yet accessible way, making yoga enjoyable for every body no matter how flexible you are! and truly beneficial for everyday life. Everyone is welcome to celebrate the joys of yoga together, it is a beautiful community!
I just recently started practising yoga and was a bit nervous about attending classes as a complete beginner but Shri Yoga is such a warm and welcoming studio. I loved the classes from my very first. The classes range from shorter to long and as I usually attend the 90 minute afternoon classes, I think it’s such good value for money! I’m looking forward to trying out more of the yoga and meditation classes : if you’ve been thinking about practising yoga, Shri is a great place to start!
Shri Yoga is my go-to Yoga studio when visiting Brisbane or when recommending to friends. I love the wide range of workshops they offer, and the high calibre teachers they invite into the studio. This is a Yoga studio with teachers that really know their stuff, but without any pretence. Just really good Yoga with a whole lot of heart.
Shri is a wonderful studio. The teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and fun; special attention is given to alignment so helpful for any yoga practice, but most of all, what makes Shri so special is the sense of community you feel as soon as you step into the studio. You feel welcome and helped to grow in your practice.
It was easy breezey enrolling in the introductory unlimited class pass. I am just visiting Brisbane and the package I bought was perfect for my 11-day stay here in the CBD. I’m staying at the Mantra so it was just walking distance. Hurray for convenience! The classes I have attended were very relevant, helpful and made me feel so much better after every class, as I have been feeling under the weather the past days. If i were to visit Brisbane again, will definitely go back to Shri Yoga. It’s an amazing studio and amazing community I wish I belong to. Thank you, Shri Yoga, for making my stay in Brisbane more awesome.
