My favourite cafe. I’ve never had a bad dish and I’ve been coming here for many years now. They use quality produce and everything is cooked to perfection. Their food is creative but never OTT. All the servers are lovely andnhelpful. Plus, it’s just a gorgeous place to sit. I’m so glad it’s local to me as I would travel across town to eat here.
It was a terribly cold day and as soon as we stepped into the cafe, we were hit with the perfectly warm temperature mixed with the warm wood tones of the floors and accents on the walls.nWe sat down at a bar area on stools facing the kitchen and got to see all of the yummy food coming out to the diners.nnThe coffee cup here is so funny. It’s a good size but the handle is so long and it caught me by surprise haha. I’m pretty sure I got a cappuccino here and it was really nice. Well made.nAnd for lunch I got egg with feta and honeyed pumpkin. Literally divine. Looking back on these pictures I’m planning when we can go back and have it again. It was so good.nDefinitely a spot to visit. It was pretty busy in there so if you can plan and book, I’d definitely recommend it.
Please don’t come here just to have eggs. We had the blood orange yogurt granola with macadamia. It was ridiculously good! My partner had the cinnamon torrijas, also extremely tasty. She also raved about her almond latte. I had the chai latte which was good. The chai struggled to compete with my granola. I have seen a lot of unjustified complaints about service. Cafes are struggling to find staff. I think we should all be more understanding. Anyway, great food and menu. We will be back to try more of it. Great work team!
Finally got found to SHORT ROUND! what a great space and a grouse vibe! The place was rocking for a Monday for brunch time! 1130am and we were lucky to get a table... coffee was beautiful, I order a long black and it was beautiful and fragrant and not bitter for once. A very smooth blend! My friend got the cinnamon Torrijas & i got the chia pudding with rhubarb... OMG.. I smashed it! The most decadent, sweet but not overwhelming chia pudding ever with beautiful choc drizzled brandy snap shards placed in there with what I remember to also be a flavoured pistachio mascarpone whip. Cmon now, you guys took my tastebuds to another planet! Great concoction!nWill definitely be back to try more of the menu but I'll be attacking that chia pudding again! Great space!
The cafe is nice and cute, I like their seating set up. The scramble egg was good and the sauce was different and well matched. But maybe my expectation was a bit high so I didn't find the scramble egg to be surprisingly good. I would give it a 4.5.
