Real friendly staff and great American diner food. Definitely will be back! The Chicken Biscuit sandwich was really tasty. Not filling but tasted great. Might need to see if you can order two up front. Drink wise, their old fashioned lemonade is really refreshing as well.
Breakfast at Short Order was Fantastic ! Authentic American atmosphere. Bacon & Eggs were delicious but the hash brown with cheese was the best I've ever tasted. Definitely going back for seconds.

Sitting here for the 3rd time and thinking to myself why is it never busy here? Food is nice great selection on the menu and the coffee is okay too. It has lost 2 stars for me on service and thick shakes. I myself love a good thick shake, when trying it and a friend also tasting it. The shake was clearly a milkshake, watery. I approached the waitress at the bar and informed her. The reply was it all ice-cream. They charge you an extra $2.50 for thick. So just wow Nice place to go if you don't want a busy place and the music is loud enough that others aren't eve's dropping. That's all!
Absolutely amazing Texas style bacon sandwich... the lovely lady was kind enough to walk it across the road to me while I was working across the road. Not only was the food incredible, the service was phenomenal. 1st class.

Short Order is one of the most charming places to eat in Glenelg and it’s my favourite go to place. I fell in love when I first walked in. It’s New York diner aesthetic is just awesome. The food is equally as awesome. They have the best bagels in all of Adelaide, and from someone who loves and tried many bagels here, they’re amazing. But bagels aren’t just what they only do. They’re menu is chock full of delicious food! The staff are super friendly too! It has everything going for it! Great place, great food, great coffee, great staff. Absolutely recommend!!
Turned up at 2:30pm and it was closed. Bit crazy when so many people about and all the other restaurants were open on a sunny Saturday. Anyways was easy finding an alternative. One day they’ll be open when I’m back in Glenelg
A hidden gem just off the main strip of Glenelg. If you are a Adelaide local or visiting South Australia visiting Short Order is a must. The New York cuisine is fantastic and the menu choices will cater for everyone’s taste. Breakfast, lunch or dinner you won’t be disappointed. Super friendly staff that just want to help you have a great time and a very enjoyable meal. After visiting Short Order I’m sure you will want to go back, I know I am.
