Story

Shimizu, literally translates to “clear water” or in the Kanji “清水”
Our personal interpretation of what the word Shimizu means to us can be inscribed as the water flowing smoothly and clearly for us to navigate and experience the journey and look toward no ends. Our logo, displaying a fish and the lower limbs of a bird, are meant to symbolise the fish swimming in the waters, yet still having a pair of legs to walk and fly, not being restricted to its nature of being stuck in the ocean, as it is also human like us, walking amongst the lands, striving for improvements and breaking out of our cages.

Ordered Uber eats two nights in a row here and they had missing items and utensils each time. Loved the Japanese cake and dessert selection which had me try the first and second time. The food was good. Probably best to dine in instead of ordering delivery.
I had the chicken Katsu bento box set which was great. But my partner had some kind of noodle which he couldn’t eat so he ended up eating mine. The staff was not really friendly and seemed very unbothered.
Chanced by this place whilst craving Japanese food and expected it to be like the Shimizu at Watertown, which is good food. But we were blown away by how amazing the food was here. Service was slow but the lady kept us updated and it was worth the wait! We had the yakitori, donburi karaage chicken and beef teppan, all cooked to perfection.
A rare opportunity to try Japanese Halal food. The staff confirmed with us the meat is from sources. The Teriyaki Chicken that came with the Rice box was amazing. The Ramen was served in big bowls. The Octopus balls we tried as a starter tasted great. Nicely made Japanese food.
My wife ordered a Teriyaki Fish and I had a Katsu Fish. We also shared a Takoyaki. A ball of starch? with octopus pieces in it All of it tasted pretty good
Had an amazing Japanese food experience at this cozy cafe-restaurant! The quality of the food, portion size was great value. Ate here more than once and each time, food was very appetising and delicious no matter what new item on the menu I tried. Definitely worth a visit!
VEGANALERT 1. Teriyaki Tofu Sonburi I'll give you 3.5 thumbs up!!5max The restaurant has coffee menue as well also desserts It was a little bit weak taste for me however you can mix with sauce under the rice should be fine
One of my favourite Japanese restaurant in Perth with nice and cozy ambient. Miso soup is perfect. My recommendations are to try Tiramisu Green tea desert and Donburi Chicken. They have also home delivery and staff is very friendly and helpful.
Decent food, reasonable price. Not too busy and the staff were friendly.
The best bento box I’ve ever had, I ordered fish bento box the service was fast and the food is so fresh and delicious I would love to go back and have the exact same box
