Sites are closed until 1st March 2018 for renovation. Got there after driving 200km further than I would normally do, because I had a good memory of my first stay there 4 years ago. To be turned away on the doorstep was a very unpleasant disappointment. "You can have a cabin for $145", yeah right. How about prominently advertising the closure on the website? How about keeping one toilet/shower open? How about letting me use amenities of a cabin, maybe for an additional fee? Lots of ways to be more accomodating and hospitable. There was an apology, but that seemed very half-hearted as well.

Number one park in Katherine. Clean , tidy. Very well run. Close to town and the local site's. Very helpful staff, with lot's of local knowledge.

31 reviews recorded before this. Only four rate this park less than a #4. In other words, 87% of reviewers gave it top ratings ... ours makes that 87.5%. How many businesses rate that well? We loved being well out of town ... we loved the modern, spacious, ultra clean ablutions. TV was the one mark-down point ... some sites have restricted reception due to all the shade trees. Gas bottle refills are marginally dearer than others in a town where gas is horribly overpriced anyway. We'll wait 'til Pamayu on the Stuart Highway and save $10.00 on each of our two 9kg bottles as shown on Gas Bottle Refills Dot Com

As parks go, and even without bar, restaraunt or general store, but based on three + weeks of travel this park was the neatest, cleanest and most helpful and friendly. Only 6kms out of town on the way to the Gorge. Well done Phil! Cheers Bill & Carol
