Nice little cafe in Ararat. We ordered a few different things from the menu for breakfast. Food was tasty and coffee was great! Service was also great! Atmosphere needs a little more though and the water bottle caps may need to be updated.
Place was nice, friendly staff as well. Food was average, at best. We ordered Salmon Benedict & Lamb Sandwich, the bread in both meals seemed old/not fresh. Eggs were alright but the lamb was so dry, it was hard to swallow. Could improve their food quality and maybe use more fresh ingredients.
Aside from the aloof service, ie locals seem well placed , others not so much.. the atmosphere is nice enough , fm commercial hits pump thrumming from the kitchen not with standing. It seems a country town phenomenon the curt service attitude, far removed from the friendliness of inner urban melbourne. Easily the nicest cafe in Ararat.
Lovely lunch at Sede cafe on the way to halls gap. Lots of local people dining here. Everything came out was fresh and delicious. I had the Lamb-wich which was very nice. We loved when restaurants/cafes offer grilled chicken for kids.
Excellent service and food! Stopped through on road trip back to Adelaide for breakfast and coffee. The menu is exactly what every cafe should be and often lacks nowadays - the simple, delicious classics. Coffee was a nice strength. Service was friendly and welcoming. Plenty of locals coming through too showing evidence of their great rep. The food was presented beautifully and the flavours were excellent - I will definitely be back! A nice cosy, homely atmosphere.
