Worst customer disservice that I've ever encountered. One of the dishes that came to our table was wrong. I informed the wait staff who might have been the manager cos her outfit was different from the others that it was the wrong dish. She immediately said 'I think that's what you ordered'. She wasn't even the one who took our order so I'm not sure how she can say that. Later, she said that she'll get us what we ordered. That dish NEVER came, am just shocked at the rudeness of the staff. Another waitress haphazardly plonked a hot sizzling plate right in front of my little daughter, when I said the dish was mine and my place was empty. That's quite dangerous. The quality of the food does not justify the rudeness of the disinterested staff. Would give it 0 stars if I could. Go there only if you want your day ruined.
I took my family here a few nights ago. I'm not a fan of having to go to the counter to order but this seems to be the way they do it on the Gold Coast. The service was good from a waitress who was new and eager to please. Food was very ordinary. Ordered the Surf and Turf. Tiny prawns and calamari that was obviously frozen. However what really annoyed me and made me feel like i was getting ripped off was I ordered a bottle of Wild Oats with Dinner which I am familiar with and was the only Sem Sav choice on the wine list. Cost $29. That's okay, I understand the mark up. I thought the wine didn't taste that great but unfortunately I didn't notice until we had finished the bottle that it wasn't Wild Oats. They had served us Yellow Glen, which is about a $10 bottle in the bottle shops and not too smooth. When I brought this to their attention they advised they didn't have wild oats available. Would have been nice to be told that at the beginning rather than being served an $8 bottle of wine that isn't particularly nice and paying $29 for it. Would not recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is just OKAY. I wouldn't come here again if I had a choice. I got a fisherman's basket for $12AUD plus 50cents for tartar sauce. This was a lunch special. The fisherman's basket came with chips, fried fish, fried calamari, fried crab stick, fried shrimp, fried potato and a small side salad. All I could really taste was the fried breading; I couldn't really taste the seafood. The portion was really big. I got tired and sick of eating so much fried stuff so I didn't finish my food. It took us forever to get our food! I think we waited 40+ minutes. There were only 3 other tables that were there. Be prepared to wait a while if you come here.
Worse experience while in the gold coast! We should have kept walking when we noticed the two cafes on either side are much busier than this one. The food were expensive for what they served up. The steak was like a piece from coles and they just grilled it up. The prawn crumbed prawn dish was almost burnt from the outside, but was still raw in the inside. Complained to the chef, and he said "it's cooked, just not well cooked" - whatever that means, I just wanted to eat cooked foods, we asked for a replacement which never came. Basically paid $150 for 2 pieces of coles steak, and some burnt/ uncooked prawns.
The worst customer service I've ever had in my life!!!!! I ordered LB with honey and hot milk ON THE SIDE I made sure when I ordered, but she put honey in my coffee and served it with cold milk. My coffee was too sweet so I told her that it wasn't what I wanted. Her attitude of the situation and childish behaviour made the dining experience uncomfortable. I will never go back again.
Nasty little place on Cavill. Me and my girlfriend sat down at this place after a poor recommendation from a family member. First no table service, because they are probably too cheap to hire waiter staff, plus the staff working their was nasty as hell. So after standing in a line to even order my food i was presented with this sad joke for a prawn cocktail. Our mains were no different either, nasty f-grade meat with sauces made from cheap ingredients. AVOID!!
What a terrible experience, and to think they want Gold Coast to have stronger links with Las Vegas and we have these half wits promoting this great country with their rude, unhospitable welcome or unwelcome. Not to mention the low ball food served. Theres an old saying if you cant stand the heat in the Kitchen - GET OUT
Have been 2 times - just give second chance, but do not come again. Not very friendly waitress chef. She was very close to be rude. Average food. Could end with 3 start, but some girls works there must learn more about customer service.
The worst steak I have ever eaten paired with half frozen garlic bread from the microwave. How can a place like this operate in such an important location?
My experience at this place was disgusting, i never write reviews but i am so disgusted in the service here... The staff first of all are rude, the food was under cooked and didn't seem fresh to me... secondly one of the waiters there broke my 2 day I phone 6 by carelessly wiping the table and knocking my phone on the floor and they refused to take any blame at all for the incident when there is cameras and witnesses that saw the incident.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.. your better off to go down to hungry jack or McDonalds your money and time will be better spent
