Very comfortable, well appointed licensed restaurant, Cafe Bistro. The decor is an older style but very pleasing to the eye. Outside on the kerb there sun umbrellas tables and chairs, great place to stop on a warm Adelaide day, for a coffee, beer and lunch. When in town or at the Oval, this would be a good call for dinner, with friends. The menu is very comprehensive and caters for most tastes. We found the service very good and friendly. I have no hesitation recommending this Cafe Bistro.
I've been eating and drinking wine and coffee at Scuzzi for a decade. The staff are always friendly, the food is always good and a decent portion, and the coffee is great!
Returned multiple times, people serving me don't smile or make you feel welcome. Was trying to support local family business. Fit out is amazing... traditional on the positive side. Plenty of local cafes around to make my new local.
Friendly staff but unfortunately a let down with the food. We ordered an orange juice, they had none. We ordered a ham and cheese croissant, they didn’t have one which they discovered after we ordered, so we were offered a ham cheese and tomato tastie instead. We also ordered bacon and poached eggs with grilled tomato. It came out with no bacon, the eggs were hard and 1 slice of burnt toast. The food that they did not have in stock they offered to go to the grocery store and buy some more and we could have it then. This is just poor management really, it’s a kind offer but honestly if that is the case I should have just gone to the shop and made it myself. You pay the money for good service and good tasty food and it’s just a let down. Won’t be in a hurry to come back anytime soon.
Walked in Saturday lunch time. Staff were sitting at a table whilst we waited to be seated by someone. When ordering food and a coffee, staff member sighed as the coffee machine looked clean. Only saving grace was the food was quite nice, but completely ruined by staff attitude. Most likely will not return.
Our group of school friends, have been regularly going to Scuzzi's for over 5 years - food, service, atmosphere has always been excellent. They've catered for all our dietary requirements - food/drink. The owner and his Staff has bent over backwards to look after us each time. Excellent, tasty food.
Our group of 20+ from interstate enjoyed a great meal and drinks at Scuzzi Cafe in O'Connell Street, North Adelaide. The manager and staff were fun and made our dinner an easy and enjoyable event for all. The day after many of our group were still talking about how good the food and service was. During the meal we were eyeing each others plates, which led to a bit of food swapping. The atmosphere and location helped to make it a memorable evening. As the organiser of the dinner I was impressed with how well the staff of Scuzzi worked together to make our night out a pleasure. I talked to some other diners I met in the cafe, who commented on how they liked the place. Highly recommended. Did I say the prices are good? :-
Dont like leaving negative reviews. But the coffee i had was sub par, absolute no pride in the way it was made. Food was ok, nothing special. My wife and i were not made to feel special, they made as feel like we were interupting there day.
Had brunch here. Interstate Visitor. Counter staff/owner? Looked like had a big night! Had to ask if table service or order at counter. Not very inviting. Ordered avacado bruschetta. Very bland. Poached egg on side - egg shell. Had to get our own bottle of water & took ages for our table to be cleared which was attracting flys. When advised wait, oh the chef has never had that before. No apology for egg shell. 2nd meal Eggs Benedict was totally smothered in hollandaise sauce
Was thinking we could get a good meal and i was wrong. They stuffed up every order even coffee. Even had to pay for what we didn't order because it come out. The food was dry and burnt the waitress does not listen the coffee burns your mouth
