WARNING!!! The food is awesome and the portions are HUGE!! I made the terrible mistake of eating the entire plate of pasta. I couldn’t eat anything else…. It was so good. Roberto is a superstar host. He guided us on our meal options and we also trusted him to decide what we wanted. Every person loved their meals. Congrats on a great establishment.
Comfort Italian food at its best!!! Stunning interiors, outdoor seating, and absolutely delicious food. Gorgonzola Gnocchi was definitely the star of the night and with the chili oil, it was amazing!!! Also had the duck ravioli and roasted potatoes, both absolutely delicious. Ended the night with the open Cannolo dessert. Overall, it was a great night, staff were friendly and the service was incredible. Will be coming back for sure.
My third time at Ruby Red Flamingo and it has definitely improved. We opted for the $55 banquet, and rolled outta there. What I loved about this was that we could choose our starters, main and pasta dish. The staff were friendly and they had a great selection of wines. We sat outside under the marquee, and it was a beautiful set up. Great place for Italian food. : @deelycious_ on insta for more pics
The setting is lovely. We were seated outside in the quaintly decorated marquee. The service was attentive and the pasta dishes received compliments all round with members of our party saying they would be happy to return to the resturant again to eat the same dishes. The only hiccup was that the resturant didn't respond to the message left to call back regarding booking a table and we had to follow up.
Beautiful eclectic old building with a beautiful garden area. The restaurant is beautiful and intimate but because we had a group of 8 people they put us seating outside and even know they had heathers it was cold ....They said they were fully booked but I could see space inside. So be careful if you book a on a cold night for a big group you might be left in the cold. The food was excellent the arancini balls were big and juicy the polenta was exceptional!! Steak was big and the vegetables were a big portion....a bit too salty for me but still good! Desert was good but the lava cake was cold ...not as hot as expected and served with cream instead of ice cream. Service was good and friendly until 10pm when they started packing up and making us very uncomfortable so you could leave. I wouldn't go back because it is expensive and there are lots of better options with better service.
Had a great time for dinner. Food selection is good and the server Zoe was particularly helpful. Would go again to try more items on the menu. Duck ravioli was the standout.
Weather was good and we had a table under the trees in the front garden. Atmosphere and tree lightings were cosy. Servers were good with food recommendations, portions were to the mark and wine selection matched the food perfectly. Service was efficient and attentive. The toilets were clean despite the large patronage. Would definately come back to try the other dishes.
Omg. The pasta we had was so incredible, best pasta I have eaten. Staff were so friendly and lovely, such a good vibe. Will be back for sure! I can't stress it enough, the pasta was insane. I had the duck ravioli, I will forever be chasing the high
Food was amazing, great portion sizes. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive. There was not a large selection of beer which was disappointing but the ones available were good. The wine list was extensive and staff were helpful knowledgeable around wine selection. It did feel a little cramped inside upstairs but the decor added to the experience.
Have been dining here for at least 5 years - very consistent and generous serving sizes while being reasonably priced. Highly recommended
