No point getting appointments at this place any more . Been coming here since they opened the shop. But the customer service and standard have gone down the hill . No coming again .
Had Rose cut my hair maybe a year ago, and she is very friendly and does a decent job. However, went back today for a cut and unfortunately had a woeful experience. The guy who cut my hair has no service skills whatsoever - mumbled upon greeting me and during the haircut. Never asked me what length I wanted it cut to on top, then when I asked for him to cut it shorter he said it wouldn’t look good if it was any shorter. I asked him to please take a little more off, which resulted in him rushing through a further trim. So of course it doesn’t actually look good now because he didn’t put in any effort or attention. Would have expected more from a $15 quick cut at Chadstone.
So thrilled with my experience at this place. Firstly, they let me bring my dog in and showered him with love and cooled him down occasionally with a spray! Rose was extremely dexterous with her scissors, kept friendly banter, offered a new hairstyle based on the shape of my face, and was incredibly efficient. I don't usually go to barber shops, but I was thoroughly impressed and walked out with a smile and significantly more confident in my appearance. Well done.
This review is for the CBD location, I couldn't find a profile for them. I stopped by on my travels for an emergency beard trim that was advertised as $10. The guy trimmed my beard reasonably well then touched up the lines by my temples which barely needed doing as I recently had my hair cut elsewhere. He also did this without asking. When it came to pay he charged me $35! In hindsight it was apparent that he charged me $10 for a beard trim and $25, the price of a full haircut! Just for touching up my lines without me asking. He didn't touch my actual hair and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I unfortunately was too jet-lagged, confused and in a rush to dispute at the time. Based on the only piece of conversation that we had establishing that I was from out of town, this guy clearly saw an opportunity to scam me. Left a pretty sour taste in my mouth on my brief visit to Melbourne. Stay away from this place as they employ an opportunistic scam artist.
My 15 year old son was devastated with his cut yesterday. He asked to have the back left alone, yet the guy cut it all off with the clippers. My son was absolutely furious! Luckily we didn’t have to pay. We’ve been bringing our 2 sons here since it opened and but won’t be back. Other reviews seem to indicate this wasn’t once off situation in not listening and/or seeking clarity around what the customer wants.
Top Quality Barber Shop Haircut and Beard Trim for $40, cant go wrong. I hadn't cut my beard in 6 months, was tempted to take it all off, but the barber was super cool and cleaned it up just right. Cut throat razor to finish and make my beard and neck look sharp. Friendly service as well. Worth a regular visit I reckon, and right next to the train station for those not in the area.
Barber who works on the left is meticulous and does a great job. if you are unlucky and get the barber in the middle he will go as fast as he can and do a butcher job. Try your luck or stay clear!
