There is no such thing as customer at the restaurant in Westfield Doncaster. Back in early February this year, we were issued a Free Chips voucher, due to an accidental error made with an in store order we purchased at the end of January, at the Burwood One store. This review is NOT about the store at Burwood One. They’re amazing we’re extremely apologetic about the error - hence the voucher. We were informed that all Schnitz stores would accept this voucher, even though it had expired, as it was initialled, had the correct size of chips written down and the voucher numbered. The Schnitz register systems would automatically decline them, however the manager had the ability to override this in order for it to be redeemed. On Friday 24th February, we placed an order at the Doncaster store and attempted to redeem our voucher. We were initially served by a young trainee who unsuccessfully tried but wasn’t able to process the voucher. Another lady was called over, but again, no success. The apparent “manager” was then called over, he looked at the voucher and we were then immediately 1 accused of altering it, 2 told it had expired, 3 had it thrown back at us saying we were not allowed to redeem it and nothing else could be done. We asked him for his name and was immediately told no, then asked why? Once we explain that we were going to follow this up and complain, he became more adamant that he would not provide his name. I have a photo of the gentleman in question, should anyone choose to contact me and follow this up. It is proof as it has the date and time that we were at the store. I also have my receipt and voucher which is still yet to be redeemed. Kindness costs nothing and at the end of the day if you can be part of the process in righting an error - why wouldn’t you?
Absolutely ridiculous, ordered some chips and waited 20 minutes. Staff obviously lacked training because I saw them throw out the receipt for my order without even checking if anyone had served it or not. Could see the young girl looking at the chips serving area wondering if she should make it or not, but I guess she didn't think to check properly if it's been served yet. Just took it off the line of orders and threw it in the bin after asking one other guy who just grinned. This isn't the first time this has happened, definitely won't be visiting again.
Really well made burger, made it extra spicy as I wanted and tasted fantastic. Nick the staff member helped me a lot on my decision. Recommended
This is not the first time I’ve experienced this - seems to be a theme at this store in Doncaster - young staff spend more time chatting and laughing than processing orders. I get it that it is hard to find good staff but mgt should be aware it is on display for all waiting customers to see. No supervision seems to be in place.
Slow service but good quality Schnitz.
Relatively fast service for the amount of people they have, and they never fail to make me a delectable chicken parma. Their chips are also incredible, one of my favourite.

TERRIBLE doesn’t even begin to describe the experience I had here. I ordered the loaded chicken Schnitzel with spicy crumps and large sweet potato chips. Around 7-8 people ordered after me, and some of those orders were small so it’s understandable they will be ready first, but some had large orders that got their food before me. That wasn’t the upsetting part however, when I got the food, the staff brought it to me in a box only, and asked me if I wanted a bag. I mean cmon am I really going to carry a box with me? It’s takeaway so of course I needed a bag. Then I look inside the box and this is what I see. I specifically requested large sweet potato chips but they didn’t put that in. They put the chips on top of the chicken Parma and they all got soggy and inedible. I’m NEVER coming back here again...
My son ordered this tiny Schnitz Chip burger which costed $11.9. Which is your take on the price?
The portion size is terrible here. The loaded schnitzel had the tiniest amount of chips I’ve ever seen. Should not be called “loaded” if it’s not going to actually be loaded. Flavour wise it was meh. For the price that you pay for, it’s just not worth it. Sorry but I will give it a miss next time…
