You won't just stumble across this restaurant. It's tucked away through the hotel. When you find it, you'll realise it is a nice cozy restaurant. The hospitality is great. The food was delicious and presented in it's own unique way. The dishes are not the typical flavours you'll be used to, but they taste amazing. Defiantly worth a visit. Also consider booking a table as the restaurant is not that big.
A pleasant fine-dining experience. Overall the food was a bit hit-and-miss for example, the duck main had delicious miso corn but the crepe added nothing to the dish. The prawn and lobster raviolo was by far the standout dish, combining theatre small pieces of dry ice were hidden beneath the mound of shellfish to create a magical swirl of smoke when the warm kombu broth was poured on top of it with impeccable flavour the sweetness of the shellfish was beautifully accentuated by the intense saltiness of the broth. Be sure to order this dish if it's available. Although the service wasn't as warm or professional as it could be, it was fine and certainly nothing went wrong. Tucked away in a chic hotel along a less well-trodden part of The Rocks, Scarlett offers a fun and less obvious date night option.
Nice and cosy dining room at a boutique hotel in historic The Rocks. Well curated menu. Beef was great.
Incredible atmosphere, with great service from staff. all 3 meals were perfect. NZ fish for main course was amazing. Had a perfect dinner, it can be a bit hard to find the place if you are not familiar with the rocks. It is next to the hotel which you can enjoy the outdoor area for a drink. Would recommend this for a quite night out.
Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is surprisingly not very busy which means staff were very attentive. The food were cooked well. The highlights for me were the scallops for entree and the beef that came with a large piece of marrow for main. The restaurant it self is quite hidden and has a nice intimate atmosphere. ---------------- Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Value: 4/5 Good for: Quiet dinners, small groups
This place is a Gem Bit hard to find in the alley of the rocks The restaurant is small but it's actually quite comfortable. Simple Decor and not shabby Food quality is great. Staff were very attentive and nice. I recommend the steak, the dish arrangement was nice and tasted sooo good. The Salmon was good too Thumbs up from all 8 in our group. Price is reasonable as it's the rocks.
Brilliant food and service. The charred beef was outstanding. Melt in mouth.
Had a bizarre experience. Booked online for 6 people where you could make bookings as late as 9pm on Saturday. I booked for 830 but due to our pre dinner drinks taking longer than expected, I called the restaurant and apologised and said we would be 20-25 minutes late. The lady said that would be fine and not to rush. We arrived at 8:55 and the woman at the front desk said they were already closed and we were turned away. Found somewhere around the corner that was still open with fantastic food so our night wasn’t ruined, but I don’t understand how they offer bookings as late as 9pm but then close before then, even when they know a table is due to arrive....
A nice secluded place to have a romantic or intimate night out or a small private gathering of friends. With dishes around the $20 for starters and $30 for mains we enjoyed our night there. Recommend the roast beef or the barramundi for the mains and the pan fried octopus or the seared scallops for starters. For dessert, the banana creme brûlée was impressive.
Great service. Super quick food. The paella was amazing but the grilled octopus tapas was a killer! Awesome price. Awesome food. Great live music
