Simply the best Malaysian food - great value and decent size dishes. Strongly recommend you try the Hainanese Chicken Rice I went back twice on the same day. Small restaurant where you order at the counter - seating both inside and outside. Friendly staff and always willing to give you more chili!
Very delicious noodle meals! The noodles’ texture are perfect and the crispy pork was nice and crispy. Portion size was generous too and staff are friendly, definitely coming back.
Ordered Penang Fried Kueh Teow And Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak. The fried noodles barely had the ‘wok char’ taste, used thinner rice noodles and was a little too sweet. The beef rendang would be one of the worst we have ever had and was watery. Some bits were a little dry and some was a little tough whilst some of the beef had disintegrated and some had a heap of fat. Also tasted a little too sweet. The coconut rice was ok and the sambal was not spicy at all and was very roughly blended and again way too sweet. No cucumber. Very disappointed.
The best venue if you like Malaysian food. We come here once a week at least. Decent size, delicious and reasonably priced dishes. Our favourites are beef Nasi lemak, Bak kut Teh and Hainan chicken rice.
Best place for a pleasant meal on Elizabeth Street. I wish they are open to selling morning coffees as it's impossible to get great Malaysian/Singaporean coffee around.
Was slightly confused by the ordering process, however the delightfulness and speed of the food coming out quickly took that out of my mind. For the cost the food is incredible and a great weeknight spot. Got a dry noodle, special soup and laksa and all were enjoyed.
Cheap eats, amazing beef rendang. Laksa was not my style but that doesn't detract from the culinary experience. Highly recommend from a budget perspective. Would also recommend the lunch specials
Their rice combos and basic noddle dishes for around $11-12 and $1 drink add is is good value, only down side its 3-6pm. Good value give it a try.
I would recommend this place for those who want to try the Sarawakian food or for those who miss it. The place was very busy at lunch time, so I went back for an evening meal. It does not open until 11am. I enjoyed what I had which was Kolo Mee
Worst hawker food ever I tasted in Melbourne. The lou xu fan stuck together, and some not evenly cooked. On the contrary the soup noodle overcooked, and also some part stuck in a bunch.
