Born from a dream to create a coffee house to linger in, with the comfort of old world decore and 100% gluten free sumptuous slices and light meals.

Story

Samuel Pepy's Cafe works to give gluten intolerant people back the choices other people take for granted when it comes to dining out. It is dedicated to preparing and serving food that is 100% free from gluten. This includes a wide range of cakes/biscuits/slices as well as light cafe style meals.



"It’s different visiting Samuel Pepys. To begin you notice the atmosphere, deliberately laid back in an “I’ve gone to visit my family” kind of way. Nice tunes, vintage furniture, mismatched crockery, friendly staff and really, really good 100% Gluten-Free food."

Went for lunch, may have ended up having dessert lol but you should always eat dessert first! I got waffles with ice cream, maple syrup & strawberries yummy it was even double stacked with strawberries between layers I was drooling! Fantastic customer service, friendly and welcoming. Food was Amazing Everyone from all dietary requirements can eat here, they are more than accommodating. Definitely worth it
Had a great experience at this café. I was craving some chicken and waffles, and this place delivered. Very happy with the way the chicken was fried and its seasoning. Should be enough for most people but I wanted dessert too, so went for waffles and ice cream with raspberry sauce and nutella - which satisfied the sweet tooth well. Happy with the food, the interior seating arrangements, the vibe. Perhaps the biggest selling point though was the hospitality. I don't remember his name but the staff serving me was friendly, helpful and professional. Definitely one of the places in Launceston where I don't regret spending my money.

Fantastic Gluten free food - great not having to worry about anything with our Coeliac daughter! Special shout out to the chicken and waffles - so nice I had it twice! Amazing coffee, great food, good banter with the staff! Dietary restrictions: The entire cafe is gluten free with lots of dairy free options too
Delicious and generous breakfast meals. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place has homey vibe, perfect place for a breakfast in Launceston.
Really friendly and attentive service. Delicious fresh food. The homemade hash browns are so good. The KFC chicken is scrumptious. The coffee is yum, but could be stronger. Really recommend!

Super friendly welcome as you come in the doors. My smashed avocado toast was wonderspicy. Added salmon and mushrooms per their recommendations. We also had their hand shaved hash browns. Very tasty and a little spicey.
Awesome cafe in the heart of Launceston. Loved the vibe, the staff were so friendly and bubbly. The food was tasty. Would highly recommend
Delicious food, we had Salmon eggs benny and the breakfast beans, we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Expedient but unrushed, friendly service in a comfortable setting. Best breakky we've had in Tassie!
