Busy and thriving Bakery Cafe, overpriced, under quality nowadays, tables all full bar one which had not been cleaned, as per usual! 2x small sausage rolls $3.50ea, Orange Juice, $5.15! Customer service and joy definitely lacking with the extremely ordinary service here today, dine in not offered, nor were plates, purchase just put in a paperbag as if it were a takeaway purchase, nice, NOT! Certainly won't return in a hurry, go anywhere but next time!
Pretty great pies. Stopped in for a quick lunch with my husband. Ordered a curry chicken pie, bacon steak cheddar pie, and a traditional sausage roll. All very tasty and hot. Ate in the outdoor seating area. We would stop here again for another quick, easy, and good lunch.
Good: Raspberry tart was delicious with fresh raspberries and vanilla custard in tart shell Bad: No cutlery. Eat everything with hands. No plates. Everything in paper bags. No cups. Coffee in paper cups. Weird!
One thing Tasmanian does well and that's bakeries and this one won't let you down. With a huge range of delicious pies, cakes and slices to choose from. Scallop pie was really good and worth trying. Great dining area to stay and eat or takeaway.
Location is great, atmosphere is good, staff are friendly but their training seems spotty. Iced drinks are badly made. Pastries are overcooked. Sausage rolls are fatty.
Great bakery and service, however Tasmania can keep the Scallop pie in Tasmania... Disgusting. All other food from here is really good though
Why is it a thing that customers have to carry drinks full to the top over to get their own lids? It seems a great way for customers to get burnt. Especially the elderly with possible shaky hands. Also, bake goods always seem to taste like they have dish liquid in them. Disappointed.
Usually a bunch of kids working who have no understanding of urgency or professionalism. always talking amongst themselves and not worried about providing a decent service. experienced better at other banjos stores.
Despite missing out on the scallop pie because I went too late it would have been my second one for the day btw, the cape grim beef pie and sweet treats were a real winner with the family. A huge thanks to the lovely Jacinta for serving us and a super special mention to Holly who was exceptional in helping me with the drinks we had a good chuckle. Great customer service overall - true service with a smile
Got a four pie deal so I could try a few flavours an I was absolutely disappointed... first of all when did ya ever have to get a bank loan to buy a pie the special one was nearly 9 dollars by its self an the flavour of them was bland an very disappointing ... can't believe I used to love them
