I have never had such a bad experience as I have had with good Sammy's. Firstly, let it be known, that I frequent good Sammy's at least once a week, as I love to go op-shopping. I was in the store with my parents, as they too enjoy opshopping as well and have been going to good Sammy's for as long as I can remember. Well I went to the store and had a look around for a little while, I decided to have a look at the bagged lots of toys, as you never know what might be in them. I found some that had piqued my interest, as it had figurines that I like to collect. So I picked it up and moved it around trying to get a closer look at it, to see if it had the proper markings to make sure it is legit and not a knock off. When the rudest "lady" I have ever encountered starts accusing me of opening the bags and stealing. I tried to let her know that I was merely looking at the bags but she refused to listen at all. My father was nearby when this all happened and was not too impressed by the way she was acting. She yelled at him and myself "to get out of my store" so we put down the items that we were going to purchase and left the store. I don't believe that we will EVER be coming back to this store if this is the sort of attitude and respect I receive. I go to this store every week, why would I ever try to steal anything, get your act together, this is absolutely disgraceful.
The worst shopping experience I have experienced in my life. Sorted through the already messy kids books area, saw a sign on the wall that said “Kids Books 50c” nothing else like or unless marked. Picked out what I wanted to buy, go to pay and the extremely rude lady started sorting into price ranges. I told her they were all 50cents, no they aren’t she rudely barked at me. I told her the sign on the wall, my husband even went and took a picture of the sign. She told us “to go out the back and see the manager, I only work here 3 days a week and I’m here all day and don’t want you wrecking my day” WELL SORRY IF I’M, ME THE CUSTOMER IS PUTTING YOU OUT FOR DOING YOUR JOB!!!! The Manager Naomi came down and aggressively started telling me what my rights are as a customer and that the sign means nothing because customers put stuff in the wrong place all the time. I don’t think a customer put over 200 books on the wall under the sign that says “KIDS BOOKS 50c” Word of mouth is the cheapest form of advertising and as far as I’m concerned I will be telling everyone I know the bad experience I had from a “charity” organisation. I work in retail and have for over 40 years and this store has no idea about customer service.
Great variety of all types of clothes,I always find something I like.Op shop prices too...old fashioned prices like $5.00 for a pair of jeans.... love the place
The staff are sweet. I've found lots of good things here. Only trouble is, sometimes the racks are so jam-packed that it's hard to sort through the clothes.
Good Sammie’s are getting way to expensive. I can buy new stuff for what they are charging. Take note you will loose customers. I recently was going to buy 2 second hand towels and they wanted $5.00 each for them. Hello, I can get them in spotlight for that price. They were very thin I might add.
Love what you guys are doing! Thanks for your service!
Love the philosophy but unfortunately I op-shop for 2 main reasons; 1 to save money, and 2 to not add more cloth to landfill. Sammy's are more expensive than many chain stores, and I find the clothing I buy from a chain is more targeted to my needs so I wind up buying less.
Good store for 2nd hand clothes. Might be nice if they did a better job of cleaning some of them before racking but you can pick through to find something that suits.
Fabulous staff, always a friendly face. The work and efforts these people put into each and everyday. Nice and clean, really well displayed. It’s always a pleasure to pop into this store
Big store, a lot to choose from and was a bargain However The lady at the register was really rude, uptight and swore numerous times under her breath when I was buying my items As someone with severe social anxiety, this kinda ruined my day and made me feel terrible for hours.. if you have a bad day, dont come to work ‍
