My boyfriend and I payed this little gem a visit for a quick bite to eat during our quick visit into town. And I must say that I was immediately struck by the inviting atmosphere of the place. It's open, airy and we had a very pleasant experience with the staff. If you happen to find yourself in Waikanae, do yourself a favor and pay this little gem a visit.

First time visitor, and can say the food without question was beautiful, not forgetting the stunning stout! Can't wait to return and enjoy another evening. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Well done the Salt and Wood

been a number of times to give it a real go. Our verdict is: Less than average food and little choice. Much better craft beers out there... in fact Mainstream beers would be better than these. They're not interested in s serving you at the bar and insist you go to your table and wait.... Close to forever Don't waste

Not what we expected to find in Waikanae when we moved here, but this place is pretty great and we've been back several times since. Eclectic atmosphere, great food and a pretty interesting beer menu from North End, all brewed on site. Check out the dirty fries!

Incredibly modern and amazing atmosphere. Best place to grab a great drink, listen to live music and eat great food every meal of the day. Plus watching the brewery is pretty cool.
