Honestly this is a MUST visit for tourists! You can easily spend at least 2 hours there. There are small mini shops around the area too and its near to the city centre too.nnThe foods that we've tried:nnPaella:nAbsolutely delicious. Well seasoned and really really worth to get.nnKray Kray lobster rolls:nHonestly the worst food ive had in Hobart. I personally feel its a rip off. The lobster bisque was A$15 and doesnt even taste much of lobsters and had mostly veges like onions in it. The lobster roll at A$32 had such a measly amount of lobster meat and was drenched in butter dripping from the bread roll. Could be the most disappointing food ive had in Australia.nnSmiths pies:nDelicious! Get their curry scallop pies, it is not spicy. It was fragant and really delicious.nnGrilled scallops:nAlthough pricy, but was really nice too!

Best place to go as a tourist. A must see for sure.  I took a couple of photos as examples of what you can buy, but there are soooooo many more options, so many different and bespoke alcohols, clothing, books, vinyls, wood work, kids toys, art, food, coffee and so many shops running up the side of the market!!! Enjoy!!!!

Great local market for locals and popular for visitors as well. Not only it houses groceries, it also has bakery and famous local 'Tassal' fish shop. Complimented with array of shops filled with local artists, gallery and pubs. It is definitely one of heart offering that Hobart has to offer.

Amazing Saturday market! We arrived around 9:30am, and stayed until around 2:30pm. Took a long time to walk through the whole thing to check it out 2 rows of stalls, we went up and back twice, so we were slowing down by the time we saw everything, but it was so cool to look at everything and there was so much good looking food to choose from! We couldn’t help but spend 5 hours here… All stall holders were very nice and helpful too.

What a fantastic market.nThis was a number one family outing, the stalls were great with a good mix between them all. Lots of food stalls with a large variety,  the craft stalls were great too with some really one of items. Its certainly a must see for everyone.
