Absolutely outstanding restaurant. The food is simply sensational. Each dish was unique in its own way and left you exploring combinations of tastes and textures that you will be dreaming about. Decent size cocktails list and we went through about most of them. All the cocktails were deliciously smooth. Service was attentive and the staff definitely knows what they are doing. 10/10 experience for me. Highly recommend.
Had lunch here and it was such a special experience! From the moment I walked in we were treated with top notch service, delicious innovative food and great ambience! We were lucky to be there first ones in, and scored in my mind, the best table in the window. We wanted to try many small dishes rather than one big so we shared the empanadas, mackerel beautifully plated, bar cod, lettuce leaves, tuna belly ham - the food was so tasty and different, I love how they play with all the different ways to cook and serve fish! Would love to come back, we truly enjoyed our afternoon here!
Came here for lunch. Staffs were very friendly. Really like the fact that there are only bar seatings, you can see the chefs in action. Ordered a number of small plates to share. Skipped the mains and the sides. Didn’t have to wait long for our food. Every single dish was delicious except the tuna, especially love the sardine, raw snapper and uni crumpet. With the tuna, felt like it disappeared in the dish, didn’t taste like tuna. Would come back to try other food on the menu.
One of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world, that never fails to live up to expectations. Amazing food whether it is a la carte or the set menu, great wines and rock star service with a special mention for Bryce for always going the extra mile. You can’t beat it and I can’t wait to see the new premises.
Normally can’t be bothered to write a review, but the whole experience was so underwhelming that I hope I can offer some constructive feedback. I had the 7 course dinner, $175 pp of which 3 were shared courses and then 2 which were desserts so didn’t even feature seafood which is the pure reason why you dine at Saint Peter… Unsurprisingly, was not enough food and left hungry. Not only that, but there were dishes that were close to being inedible, in particular a crab ‘soup’ which tasted like a thickened curry sauce but without any of the protein/veg. It could have at least featured bread/noodles or anything to tone down the dish. All it had instead were 2 mussels… The other dishes featured did not showcase any special cooking technique and were pretty standardeg grilled fish, pickled fish, steamed egg. The final kicker was being forced to pay a 10% gratuity on top of the bill, it wasn’t even something that was presented to us as discretionary. I also sat near the door and was continually catching a cold draft each time it opened and closed. If you’re not at the bar, you will also be paying a premium to face a street view of paddington street…. Do not recommend. The staff here were friendly though.
Had a pleasant experience dining here, the liver pâté was something that just melted in your mouth . Nevertheless, we had our doubts about the crab soup…it was too overpowering and was a spice-overload turmeric? curry powder?, definitely needed something else to tone it down. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
This was, by far, the best restaurant we ate in while in Australia, and the best in a long while anywhere! It is a fish restaurant... everything fish. Each course was fish of some sort. Every dish was really fabulous. I wish I lived in Sydney, so I could visit again soon. Great wine pairings, and very knowledgeable staff. Chef Josh Niland did all sorts of jobs...it looks like a super place to work. The restaurant is small, and you prepay. The meal is very expensive, but it is worth every penny! Vegetarian options: Not possible. It is a fish restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility: Not available.
If you’re looking for fine dining, Saint Peter is it. The regular menu changes mean you’re never quite sure what you’ll get on any particular evening, which adds to the surprise. Food is superb but certainly not cheap. The final bill also has a 10% service charge added. Great to celebrate a special occasion, but due to the long bench seating, it’s best suited for a party of no more than 2.
What an exceptional place. The food was top quality and all things delicately considered, from the biggest charcoal flat head to the smallest amazing biquinho peppers. Service was really lovely, and despite being close to others the spacing was just spread enough apart for conversations. Loved the experience
Sustainable dining at its best! Fish salami, chorizo and ham are the best ways to use all parts of the fish. We didn't book and just walked in, luckily there was seats and the staff were very accommodating.Food: 5/5
