Purchased a Custard square and apple turn over, I asked the lady at counter when this was made she replied today, I said it doesn’t look freshly made? and asked does she have any other custard square and she replied No. I love to support our local business, so I took her word for it this was freshly made today. Oh my I can guarantee you this was not made today, nothing about the slice was fresh at all. The pastry was burnt and was not pleasant at all. If you were honest with me which I knew you weren’t I wouldn’t have put this review up.
10am went to order some quiche when the server quickly took them out and bagged and put them back in the warmer so there was none left yet no one else had asked for them, everything is always all gone and even when it's not its not available. Food good but you gotta fight someone to get any
Best Potato Top in Auckland. Even wrote "last potato top" on the label. It's made with real mash not instant and is seriously heavy. Probs nudging a tidy 800g-1000g. Did I mention cheese on top? Tastes like a proper wee cottage pie.
Mixed feelings. We used to love going to this bakery and would travel to purchase their doughnuts. However, prices have increased A LOT and the doughnuts are not of the same standard - considerably smaller and the ones we bought last week were well overcooked Bacon & Egg Pie was delicious, but once again a price increase. Too expensive for the average person.
Love the old fashioned made and taste of their slices and cakes. Neopolitans to Die for and custard and vanilla slices are sooooo good. Expect to see your eyes widen as well as your waist when you eat here. Pies are excellent and if you are early enough they do a ham and cheese bun type thing which is gorgeous.
Quality baked goods, just like home bake. Personally would rate one of the best bakeries in Auckland. Get in early, because they always run out fast.
