New owners doing their best to upgrade the motel which was left in a bit of a state from previous owner. Rooms are basic, but everything is there for a comfortable stay. We will be back and can't wait to see the upgrades.Rooms: 3/5

A great place to relax and very friendly people I would recommend for anyone or family to have a look for the price and facility close by...  Food & drinks: Dairy and takeaways just 2min walk

Tony is a great host and organized  flowers to be delivered with a room upgrade. Room spacious and well supplied.  Shower could use more hot water though, don't plan on a long one. Second visit with a 15 year gap. No dogs with us this time but we're still able to bring them. Right next to race course and easy town access

Great location. Clean. Enjoyed the fresh linen. My dog was allowed to stay. Rooms: 4/5

Rooms were shabby with mould around the windows and walls rotting soft to touch. Spoke to manager/ owner? He said he would tell landlord about the rotting wall boards. He did not however get the mould cleaned off around the windows. No heat pump but fan heater provided. No fan venting from shower. Built in the 70s I would guess with no renovations done  to modernise. Drive way/ car park full of potholes. Managers/ Owners accommodation doesn't look any better than the guests accommodation. Certainly will not return.

We stayed 3 nights.  Good value for money, although an older property very tidy and clean.  We loved the 4k hd tv and sky channels.  What annoyed us was the cold showers.  The motel was full and there seemed to be a shortage of hot water during peak hours. That's our only grumble.

I female turning up with my two young children at 9.30pm at night to check in. The owner was horrendously rude and grumpy that I hadn’t let him know how late even though we had filled out the arrival time on the online booking form which he argued didn’t exist. I didn’t feel safe and he said I should find somewhere else. The worst accommodation experience of my life.

Good place to stay a couple nights. Liked that it's close to town only down fall was needed a bit of tlc come cracks in the paint an shower temp gauge was a bit how ya going an walls are paper thin I could hear old mate next door watching the footy, but good location and quiet during times that the footy wasn't onRooms: 4/5

We had a great time staying at this motel. Me and my partner went to New Plymouth for the first time and stayed at this property for three nights and our experience is absolutely amazing! It's clean, comfortable and the hosts Tony and Ebby are very hospitable. This motel is also accessible to shops, must-try cafes and restaurants in town. It's a highly recommended property and we would definitely come back for our next holiday in NP.

The family apartment was good in size but I notice the following: 1. Furniture is pretty old with obvious wear and tear. 2. No room service at all. 3. There were a lot of cockroaches near the fridge area.  I wanted to give one star but the size of the room is good with many beds in the apartment, hence two stars.
