Great, friendly staff!! Location was perfect for the area we needed to be. It was close enough we could walk to our appts. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Rooms was comfortable and fit my family of 6 perfect. I only gave the room 4 stars because some parts was a little roughpainting, etc.. but it is a older hotel. That issue didn't take away from a great night sleep, yummy breakfast and excellent staff. We would definitely stay again.
Rooms are aged and worn, but very clean and presented well. Our first room had a leaking toilet and missing blockout blinds. Management quickly found a suitable alternative. Staff polite and worked hard. Would stay again making a more careful room inspection before unpacking.Rooms: 3/5
OK, so it's obviously an older style hotel in need of renovations. But when you can get a room at a really good rate, including a full buffet breakfast, then you shouldn't be too picky! As they weren't too busy I also got a room upgrade and even got one of those illusive 'harbour views'!! The reception, bar and restaurant areas are all nicely presented and have clearly been renovated already. FYI... It's also an easy stroll to the fun Rag & Famish pub. Noteworthy details: Importantly there is a huge building being constructed directly in front of the Miller hotel... So best to request a room at the rear, on a higher floor, that will give you lovely district views!
Hotel is centrally located, coles is not too far from the hotel and lots of pubs around. Staff were friendly and attentive to our request. Beds were cleaned and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel if you have a big family. there were six of us and only hotel that could accommodate all of us at a reasonable price. This hotel is very old in comparison to other places I have stayed however it was okay because of the service and location and buffet breakfast which we included as part of our stay and kids eat for free Buffet included a selection of bacon, eggs pancakes, fruits juices, baked beans, cereals, toast, croissants you name it they had it and it was delicious. I will return to this hotel next time
Receptionists were helpful at the start which set a good tone. However room was very outdated and a little dirty. Some of the bathroom tiles were cracked, very old power points, a lot of stuff had gathered dust, chips and cracks on the walls and not the best smell. TV and entertainment was very minimal with a few basic free to air channels on a small tv. Only plus side were rooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable.
Good location and friendly staff. Rooms are old, in poor condition and are not clean. Showers go hot and cold. The only option for breakfast is a $30 buffet plus if you want a decent coffee you need to pay additional. Stayed in a suite with microwave and sink but not one piece of cutlery or crockery. Avoid this hotel.
Wow, what a tragic disappointment this place was. We booked a harbour view, where we could only see the freeway going to the harbour. They moved us to another room- a free upgrade. Now we could see water in the distance but not the traditional harbour. The new room was horrible. I asked the cleaners to remove the cigarette butts from the balcony- even though the room had just been cleaned. The bench had coffee stains. The shower didn’t look overly clean. During the nigh the toilet leaked and my wife got her phs wet hoisted to the bathroom- yuk The restaurant and bar were both closed Sunday and Monday. No mini bar even What a poor quality hotel
Rooms good, staff very helpful as early check-in was requested and request met. Very convenient for work in North Sydney area negating the need to hire a car and drive. Only a short walk to train station, bars and food outlets.Rooms: 4/5
Little disappointed considering this was a Rydges hotel. We had a family suite. Air conditioning didn't feel like it worked so it was pretty uncomfortable. No point opening windows. Not enough cups, plates etc. Nothing to wash up with. The beds were very comfortable though and towels were nice and fluffy.Rooms: 2/5
Would be best to avoid this hotel if you can. Lacking basic maintenance, cleaning and service. Paid for a harbour view, got to room and no view as there is another hotel being constructed directly in front. Management agrued that there is a harbour view... but its behind that building and that's not their problem. After a lengthy argument we got moved to a higher levelled room to see over construction site. New room had the aircon stuck on freezing and couldn't be changed or switched off. Bathroom dirty, lights flickering on and off. When we booked the room for two it included breakfast. Got down to breakfast and was told that only 1 person can eat breakfast and if we both wanted it then we had to pay another $30! Just a dodgy place that is poorly managed and looks very tired and sad. Not worth your time or money staying here. Rooms: Dirty, and under maintained. Noteworthy details: Don't stay here.
