Fantastic restaurant!! Best food in Gore by a mile and we have eaten at all the restaurants in Gore. We had the rib eye, schnitzel and lamb rack. The lamb rack was the best lamb we had ever eaten, the rib eye was delicious and perfectly cooked and the schnitzel was enormous which was perfect! Fantastic selection of liqueurs and cocktails too! Not to mention the perfect creme brulee. We will only eat here while in gore from now on
Zipped here on way thru Gore. Quite a find! Definitely worth a trip. Service and food absolutely lovely. Amazing atmosphere. Will be back on another journey !
Amazing food. Best lamb we've ever tasted and steak cooked perfectly. Deserts out of this world and a full blown selection of liqueur. Best place in town by a mile. Highly recommend!
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and tidy place. Found it by accident but will be back again. Miss 5 loved the fries she said they were the best she's ever hadFood: 4/5
Beautiful company, hostess and cook... lovely dinner... the lamb shanks just melted off the bone, the ostrich was delicious, the Kiwi Burger was impressive and the Surf and Turf induced a few moans our meals didn't take that long to come out either... defs going there again
Simply Stunning ! Travel a fair bit with work and always enjoy my meals at Rustic Cafe and Restaurant. A real asset to Gore and a hidden gem indeed. Have tried many places whilst traveling the lower south island and this would easily be the best. Friendly owners and staff who have a real passion for what the do. The setting is something you simply wouldnt expect to see in Gore - Southland with a tasteful well set out decor that is first class. Food is something else, always consistently amazing and good sized portions. Desserts are a treat too. Always dine here when down this way. Keep up the amazing work guys !
Food was okay, very poor service. Food was not as advertised nor discounted for missing items. Uncomfortable chairs.very overpriced for what was delivered. Bot returning there again
Amazing classic atmosphere. Best service I have had in a long time. Staff even offered us extra drinks several times. Which hardly happens anywhere! Food was beautiful aswell
Wow feeling as I stepped in for quick lunch and greeted with an amazing Lady Nanett. I felt so like family and felt very welcoming. What a beautiful experience. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Mariki, Nannet and Linda are great people I met today after coming to Gore. Food was absolutely delicious. Loved every bit of it. Definitely will be bringing my families and friends to this wonderful Rustic Restaurant. Aww we loved it. Desert was amazing. What a beautiful experience. Thank you so much for great evening Parking: Plenty of parking around here. No problems Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchair. Dietary restrictions: Mariki is great with food. An amazing Chef
A great find in Gore! They cater for Keto really well and most items in the menu can be Keto-fied, like my burger! Really awesome selection of food and impressive decor. We will be back to try the dinner menu!
