Stopped in for dinner on my way home swan hill , ordered the steak sandwich it actually, come with beetroot, crispy bacon egg, tomato cheese and a nice Tomato relish and generous steak with a lightly toasted bread. Meal Came out within 10mins.nSatisfied that I stopped in. And the owner was very inviting and cheerful.
Went in while the kitchen was cleaning up. Still made me and me mates food, Beautiful and big feed to. Walking into the bar to sit down and the bar tender was bloody hilarious. Great people Great food and overall Great place to be.n5 stars easily!!!
Located in the centre of town. Older style pub. Staff were polite and friendly. There are meals offered here. Parking is around outside, near by. Reasonably tidy place.
The meals have been hit and miss lately, I had a group order on 09.01 and the quality was fine for some food and really lacking for others. I ordered the grilled chicken which had a herb seasoning and garlic sauce the flavours were mix matched and the seasoning was overpowering. The chicken must have been boiled before being grilled which left it dry and a slightly grey apperance. The serving size was underwhelming for the price I paid. Others in our group orderes steak or lamb sandwiches whixh seemed much better.
This review is about the restaurant.nI normally do not write many reviews, but my experience was so bad that I feel that I should.nWas in the mood for a decent steak dinner today and ordered a scotch fillet, medium cooked.nReceived a steak that was cooked well done++, really tough.nWent to the counter and showed that the steak was overdone.nThis is the most expensive meal on the menu and should be cooked right.nThe lady responded that I should wait a few minutes.nThese were many minutes, must have been around 30 and I waited.nMy lady is a slow eater, but eventually, she had finished her steak sandwich which was ok and I sat there, hungry.nWhen I got to the counter again, they quickly started activities. This experience didn't fulfill my expectations for a nice dinner.nGot my money for the steak refunded and had a sandwich elsewhere instead.
