The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is a true gem in the heart of Melbourne! These stunning gardens are a must-visit for nature lovers, botanists, and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat from the city.nnAs you wander through the gardens, you'll be struck by the incredible diversity of plant species on display. From the vibrant colours of the herbaceous borders to the majestic trees and tranquil water features, every aspect of the gardens is carefully curated to showcase the beauty of the natural world.nnThe garden is also home to several glasshouses, including the iconic Melbourne Conservatory, which houses a stunning collection of tropical plants and orchids. The Arid Garden is the most interesting one for me with a wide range of succulents and cacti collections! I learn a lot from their names and the uniqueness of each species kids should have supervisors so that they don't hurt themselves.nnThe gardens are well-maintained, with clear signage and plenty of walking paths to explore. There are also plenty of picnic areas and cafes to relax and refuel.nnOverall, for the nature lover like me, the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria is a world-class attraction that is not to be missed. Whether you're a botanist, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a peaceful escape from the city, these gardens are a true treasure.
I absolutely adored my time roaming the royal botanical gardens. It was a magical experience. Every spot within the garden was beautiful, i loved the pond, the green house, the mini dessert succulent garden. There was so much life in the pond, i could see turtles and swans. it was so lovely! Truly like walking into a monet painting. The only thing i didn't like was how hard it was to get around but you get used to it eventually! Such a gorgeous and beautiful place and it was free! I went with all my girl friends, and we had the time of our life, and took so many pictures. Everything was lush and gorgeous and well-kept. The atmosphere was unbeatable. The gift store was a bit expensive, but they housed a plethora of beautiful things, from plates and gardening items and adorable trinkets. It was a fun and great time!
One of my most favourite places in Melbourne.nIt is an absolutely stunning oasis that celebrates history and the natural world, paying homage to Australia’s magnificent fauna and flora.nnYou could spend an evening here, or an eternity; either way, there will always be something new to see, something beautiful to experience.nnThere are plenty of toilets, as well as cafes, grassy areas and walking paths.
I visited this magical place while the light festival was ongoing. It turned it into an even more memorable site. Clear directions and a variety of eats and treats. I imagine during daytime it would be fun to take young kids around.
Unbelievably beautiful and almost fairytale like garden. It's a great place to get away from the busy city life. There are also many beautiful birds and interesting plants to look at. No tickets are needed for this place and it is free to enter. So if you are travelling Melbourne on a budget you should definitely consider this!
