Authentic Malaysian food, large portions and full of flavours. Only downside service, very much lack of, we had to go up to ask for things even though it's table service. Staff did not even announced last order when we wanted to order dessert. Overall food is great but maybe extra hands will improve service.
It is delicious but some how me and my familyeveryone got diarrhoea, stomach! I think in was the coconut milk from the curry or the seafood! Seafood might goes off! The environment is awesome! Feels like in Malaysia with the bar sign with tiger beer! Which is good! So I do recommend everyone can have a try the others just maybe not the seafood.
What a nice surprise!! We are in love with Roti Place, was our first time trying some Malaysian food and we loved it. We've here twice already, the first week we tried the Nasi Lemak, some rotis and Mi goreng I think, while we're eating we saw this huge bowls going to different tables but we're already full. So we decided to come back and try their soup and OMG I was shocked at how good it was the Combination Laksa!! now one of my favorite dishes the Nasi Goreng was good too but the soup was the best. The staff is gentle and young. I really recommend this place, give it a try!! Thanks Roti Place.
Pretty good Malaysian food. The roti was of the sweet and flaky type and accompanying curry sauce was very tasty though quite salty. The har mee had strong prawn stock flavour and was on the spicier side. The Hainanese chicken was better than many other examples I have tried recently. The standout for me was the oatmeal chicken, sweet, crispy and with a nice curry leaf flavour. Service was good. I'd go back to try more.
This place can do no wrong. Great value, true to authentic taste. Quite busy sometimes but good isn’t far away. My advice is to come early because things do sell out.
Roti with curry was fabulous. I even drank the curry soup. Char Kuey Teow was tasty. There were big prawns and sea food in there. Good amount of ingredients. The table was nice and clean. Our meals came with a timely manner. Customer service was good. Will definitely come back if I visit Brisbane again. One thing not as good, the tea pot is quite small. it says it’s for a person, I got maybe 2-3 cups from it, that’s it. Other than that, all is good.
3 words, amazing food! Really love the salted egg yolk spanner crab. Filled with crab meat that is sweet and juicy. The flavour of the salted egg yolk was ever present. We also got the Roti telur egg that comes with curry. It's brings back the taste of home in Singapore. We'll definitely come back to try other dishes
Good location in the middle of the city, parking is horrendous but it is close to Myer centre. This place definitely gives off chic Malaysian vibes. They have a good menu and definitely tasty food. It’s not the best of the best Malaysian food there is but for what they are and what it’s worth, they ticked every Malaysian box. Also, your nostrils would be met with familiar Malaysian aromatics as you enter this joint. Highly recommend the crab dishes given the price point!
What a pleasant experience; speedy service, great meals, great value, and great taste. Given it was Friday lunch time, I was pleasantly surprised about the amount of staff attending to patrons. I enjoyed Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken; yummy. Will go there again!
We ordered the laksa, hainanese chicken rice, roti canai, mee goreng, teh tarik and ice tea with lime. We were a bit disappointed with a few of the dishes we ordered. We felt that the hainanese chicken rice has too much sesame oil. Whereas the mee goreng was a bit too soft for our liking. Also we think the better option for garnish is lime instead of lemon. Chicken laksa was ok. Roti canai was the best out of all the dishes we ordered. Teh tarik was the best I had so far in AU.
