Story

Started over 20 years ago by Max and Jane Ross, Ross Real Estate
began as a single office in the suburb of Kirwan, under the banner of a franchise group. However as the business moved from strength to strength Max and Jane’s sons Gerard, Damien, Michael and Brendan set their sights on developing the business further. As a result more offices were opened.

A second office was acquired on Charters Towers Road, Hermit Park in 1995. A third on the corner of Anne Street and Ross River Road, Aitkenvale was opened in 1997. Then followed a fourth office which was opened in 1999 in Condon on the corner of Gollogly Lane and Upper Ross River Road (now Riverway Drive). It was after the relocation of the Hermit Park office to the Townsville CBD in 2000 that the family evaluated their position and decided the best way forward was to leave the franchise group and operate under the Ross Real Estate banner.

In late 2006 the four offices became one again as part of a long term business plan which will see new premises constructed on our site at the corner of Ross River Road and Anne Street in Aitkenvale. The Aitkenvale office has become the centre for the Ross Group’s administration and was re-located to its current position at 274 Ross River Road. This will allow the business to continue its operations as normal while the new premises is constructed on the parcel of land fronting Ross River Road.
