Have been getting takeaway many times from here over the last few weeks. Delicious curries, efficient service and good value. The butter lamb is a bit too sweet for my liking; but that’s a personal preference and I’m sure lots would prefer the sweetness. Great level of spice in all their curries.
Got a takeaway from here as was in Devonport, the curry- Chicken Anarkali was tasty and something different with a good cheese and garlic naan. My only gripe was the longer than expected/told wait but they were fairly busy. Staff were friendly though.
Amazing Restaurant!! Great Tasty food. Has a specific Indian hot for those who love their food spicy. Was worth the dinner there. In front staff member was hard working and though she was the only one in house, she got everyone's orders and was friendly. Would recommend to anyone who'd love a yummy Indian treat in Auckland
First of all I hardly do the reviews but this one deserves my precious time to appreciate the team... Wow .. Just one word ... Wow .... Went to Flying Rickshaw myself as wife is on holidays so had to dine in alone. Mr. Manager named Trippy I guess offered me the top notch customer service I have had in a long time while dining in a restaurant. Manager and the team at restaurant was on top of their game. They ticked all the boxes. Best Food Harabhara Kebab. Best Service Trippy and A blissful ambience of the restaurant made me feel home while dining. I come from hospitality background Hilton Hotels and have spent 7+ years in hospitality New Zealand so I am aware how the hospitality works. I would say that the overall performance from the team was amazing. I personally haven't had such a pleasant experience at most restaurants in New Zealand as they lack experience and willingness to go extra miles for the customers. Definitely a must visit restaurant for a foodie person like me in Devenport, Auckland, New Zealand.
This hidden gem has the most amazing food and service. Try the veg platter, it’s worth it !! We also had chicken tikka masala chicken kadai and Paneer Shimla with Lachha paratha Definitely worth every penny
Worst decision to try a new place. Customer service was good but the food quality very bad, a waste of time and money. Order chilli chicken but it was too salty and nan bread was burnt and looked old. Asked staff about that, they changed. Please improve your food quality as customers come to your place to have a good meal.
On an evening out to Devonport we saw this indian eatery. Thoroughly enjoyed the food. We will be back for sure.
Really great Indian restaurant in davenport. We just ended up going in as we were hungry after a little trek up mount Victoria. The place is smallish but has a nice rustic ambience. The food took a little while but it was certainly worth it and we were warned that it was quite busy so the food will take 20-30 mins. We ordered Paneer tikka masala, dal tadka and garlic naan. Both entrees come with rice as well. We had asked for hot spicy and it was just perfect for our palette. The food was piping hot, the flavors really good and the naan was also nice and soft. They even boast a large drinks menu in case anyone wanted a side of wine or other drinks to go with the food.
Great food, ambience and service. Large, varied menu - ask for Indian hot if you like it very spicy! Will definitely return
Food is alright. But won't recommend the dishes with soy protein. Had ordered an aloo and soy protein dish today. Not sure if it was the way the soy meat was cooked or if it was the potato starting to go off. Otherwise, not bad. Had a nice and quiet ambience. Staff had even offered additional alternatives for vegetarian options that was not on the menu. Vegetarian options: They do have veg options. Would recommend to stick with the stuff without the soy protein
