Worst breakfast since moving to Brisbane 2 years ago, order the hashbrown Benny and came out as completely different breakfast when I pointed out there was no bacon on my breakfast and pointed to the menu the lady noticed the same, wrong breakie, and instead of fixing it just gave me bacon. Cold bacon, cold AND burnt toast cold eggs and super cold mushrooms. Ask for another plate as there was balsamic all over it and did not mix well with hollandaise, still wondering where my double hashbrowns are?
Really great coffee and a nice selection of fresh juices. They even serve bagels which is not that common in Brisbane as a breakfast special sometimes. The daily lunch specials are great value, and the burgers are much better quality than take-away or fast food places. The cafe itself has a pleasant atmosphere. There is a small play kitchen which is great for small children.
Food was okay, coffee was good. They ran out of fresh greens or Tomatoes, so we got a pinch of frozen limp sprouts next to our bacon and eggs. They apologised for our long wait and compensated us with extra bacon. The server who had served us and taken our orders and gift voucher was really nice. We called out our thanks to the nice waitress as we were walking out. After walking outside for a few metres, another waitress chased after us and accused us of not paying when another server had already taken our gift voucher for a family of 4. As we walked back to the counter from the outside to sort out the misunderstanding, the accuser took hold of the voucher behind the cash register. She looked accusingly at our nice waitress who have served us earlier and said, 'Never mind!' after checking the details on the voucher. All 4 of us were not given an apology for being asked to walk back into the restaurant. We walked out shaking our heads. This bad experience did put a nasty spin to an otherwise beautiful morning. We had been there before, done take away coffees but never have we been treated so badly. Training good wait staff with a more positive approach might see you win back old customers and keep new ones coming back.
First time for breakfast and it was great. I had the Rosti stack and it was yummo. Coffee was great as well. Poor girl was quite busy cooking, serving and making great coffee but she maintained a lovely smile and was very friendly. Highly recommend.
Lovely hidden gem with delicious food, good coffee and friendly service. Still working through the breakfast menu as a lot of good options.Food: 5/5
So disappointed!!! The one star is for the one of four young staff who made our coffee! $14 for a begal which contained two slices of procesed round ham, a slice of processed square cheese. No garnish, no flavour, no care factor. Couple before us were charged for food that did not arrive and had to chase staff and we were incorrectly charged and had to advise how much changed should be given. The young girls working clearly did not want to be there and this showed in the lack of service. This place could be booming but there is zero value for money in the food produced on this over priced menue!!
Stopped in for a coffee while on a lunch break. They had some ten dollar lunch specials so I decided to have the crispy chicken burger. The coffee was good and the burger was delicious. What amazed me was the efficiency of the sole staff member on shift at the time to do the coffee and food. Had my meal within 15 minutes of ordering! Hard to get that at cafes with dedicated kitchen staff.
Sat pm Placed order, then seated outside, table dirty spilt milk & used dishes not cleaned up despite asking when drinks delivered, then again when food delivered. 2 other tables outside in the same condition with added rubbish on the floor. Egg & bacon roll consisted of an overcooked egg & bacon all in the centre of the toasted bread leaving 3/4 empty. Very dry as no butter or sauce. Milk shakes, ordered 1x light milk, 1x full cream, received 2x light - reason given was container to make used for light milk. All outside tables and area still dirty when we left. Zero presentation, service slow but ok.
A cozy cafe in the middle of moorooka. The serves are very large and the service is great. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu.
10 out of 10 would come here again. The service was absolutely amazing. The food tasted fantastic and was very well presented. The staff were polite and the coffee was terrific. I'm coming back next Saturday for seconds!
