Story

Established in 2002 RetroStar Vintage Clothing has grown into the largest vintage store in Australia. Located in the heritage Nicholas Building in Swanston Street Melbourne, it is home to an extensive range of vintage clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. We specialise in the 1940’s through to the 1990’s which are sourced from around the world.

RetroStar Rockstar is dedicated to music and street-wear, rock and band t-shirts, comic and specialty t-shirts, boots, leather jackets, bags, jewellery and accessories. The vibrant atmosphere and extensive stock of RetroStar Vintage and RetroStar Rockstar make it one of the most amazing and individual stores in Melbourne. Tucked amongst the lane ways in the Flinders Lane quarter it is one of Melbourne’s hidden secrets.

Great little shop tucked away in the corridor off the main road. Nice range of clothing. All the cool ‘party shirts’ are up stairs on the left side ;

This place is outstanding! Can't believe I only just found it. Amazing, unique clothing, solid colour range with well-made fabrics of all types. Got a very pretty shimmery dress for the party. Love the stuff, colour and material of the dress. Will definitely like to shop again!!!

So much to choose from!! So many retro clothes that you can't be quick here. If this is something you're into, you can't not come and check it out. Some things look a little pricey, but overall the quality of these old outfits are great.

If you are really passionate and dedicated to vintage fashion, you could probably look past the prices. Bit too much for me, lots of stuff to look at, leans more toward the grungey, sports wear vintage stuff.

really rude staff member, absolutely no manners or emotion to her, had the worst tone and just overall rude. was helping me try on rings, really wanted to buy one but her vibe was just hard to bare and i couldn’t stand to be in the shop anymore, really wanted to buy that ring  never coming back terrible vibes from everyone

good service, affordable and even threw in some candy alongside my purchase. Thank you to Ryan for resending me tracking information after I'd lost it. No complaints at all.
