Safari weekends are exquisite. Pelorus island is beautiful, diving sites varied with huge range of tropical marine life to see as well as stunning corals. Friendly experienced staff to look after you, plenty of dives, comfortable digs, good hearty food and plenty of it. Unforgettable sunsets from your chair on the beach

I have delayed writing this review because I had hoped to have some kickarse photos to share that would show just how amazing my dive trips were, unfortunately I am not so skilled at underwater photography so you will have to use your imagination. I dove with RAD to complete my Open Water qualification when it was owned by someone else. Since taking over RAD, Jason and his family have shaved off the rough edges of the experience and taken it from good to great! I completed my Advanced and Nitrox with RAD under Jason and his fantastic instructors. Everyone is experienced and passionate about the reef and will ensure you have a great time. Jason and his crew have improved the way that the weekend Pelorus trips function: the shower and bathroom facilities are far improved (though it is still an island without plumbing, so keep that in mind). Even things as "small" as putting a music system on the boat and organising a place for a hot shower on the Sunday afternoon before lunch, makes a big difference to the mood of the trip. You also will certainly not go hungry! The roast lunch at the end of Sunday just caps everything off in the best way. Everyone is incredibly accommodating, we spoke to Jason about wanting to dive at Yongala, he immediately offered to organise it for us and jumped at the chance to go and be our instructor. Jason also would have driven us down if we had needed it. A great example of Jason's care for his customers: I stupidly left my sun shirt at the prep site for the dive, Jason noticed, grabbed it and organised to get it back to me. If you want to learn to dive, improve your skills or just make the best use of your dive skills, these ARE the guys to dive with.

Thank You Remote Area Dive for a mind-blowing underwater experience. The staff at Remote Area Dive were outstanding! Each member was engaging, enthusiastic and catered to individual skill levels of the group. Remote Area Dive offers endless opportunities to progress in the sport with either SDI/TDI/ERDI or PADI from Open Water courses all the way to professionalism. Friends and I favour the speciality courses, especially wreck diving on the Yongala! We also enjoy the social interaction that involves divers of all different backgrounds and series of stories. It was a great pleasure to have heard endless tales that get shared throughout a day trip, around a campfire on the overnight weekend trips and a fun monthly Thursday club night at the shop. As a regular recreational diver I find myself constantly checking in to see what new diving adventures are being offered. The latest plan is to hopefully jump on the overseas dive trip to Gallipoli in 2019!

We went on the "Unlimited Dive Safari" weekend trip which was good fun! The weekend includes up to six dives when the weather plays along. For us the wind ruined the night dive but we had five great dives. Thank to the RAD crew for a great weekend!
