Story

Established in South Yarra more than a decade ago, Red Hot Wok has won the hearts of Melbournians with its exciting authentic Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. This family run restaurant provides warm and welcoming service and will impress you with the speed of which the food is served. Tony, owner and executive chef, runs the restaurant with his wife and brother. Together they have travelled all over Asia on a journey of discovery to bring the best dishes back home. With an extensive menu, ranging from hawker food to live mud crab, there is sure to be a dish that would meet your needs and take your tastebuds on an exciting journey.

A family friendly palatable Chinese Malaysian cuisine restaurant in town. With a good location this place considered to be relativefly pocket friendly and has a good service. Parking area are available along the street, which could be difficult on the weekend. However, they serves online order now, which is so much easier.
We ordered 2 dishes and waited 1 hour to get the food. It was okay but nothing amazing and certainly not worth the wait. There wasn't actually that much food for the high price asked either. On the positive the service was nice and their coconut rice was delicious.
Great Chinese Malaysian food. Beef hor fun fried beef rice noodles with gravy reminds me of the ones I have back home in HK. The sizzling tofu is a MUST TRY! The silkiest tofu I have ever had! Great portion size, friendly owner! Recommend and definitely return for more! Support local!
Extremely disappointed with the food. Found hairs in the Taro Duck as shown in the pictures. The hairs are actually stuck in the batter. We called the restaurant but after speaking with 2 different people, they still didn’t understand what we were referring to.
Really enjoyed the beef rendang and rice.
Very good Malaysian food here. Absolutely loved the Assam prawns and the salted egg fried chicken omg!!.
Such a good restaurant. It has never disappointed!
