If you buy Raymarine gear make sure you read the warranty fine print, If you install it yourself or have installed by someone who is not a Raymarine Dealer they will not cover the costs associated with the with the removal and or diagnosis of the unit whilst under there so called warranty. I purchased over $20k worth of gear from Whitworths had a qualified marine electrician install the gear only to have it fail after 6 months, I was told it would all be covered but now they are saying I have to pay the technicians costs to have the gear re installed. The FACT IS it was the Raymarine equipment that failed not because of the way it was installed it was simply because the equipment is NOT quality equipment, Raymarine should make it perfectly clear to anyone that buys there gear that its not 100% covered under warranty if it is not installed by a Raymarine dealer. I am going back to Furuno for my electronics in the future ! Buyers beware.
